The parable of Lazarus and the rich man (Luke 16:19-31).

STEWARDSHIP - Not Ours: We keep before us the fact that stewardship is basically about things that don't belong to us. What do we do with the gifts of GOD? The gift becomes the task. There is a sense of urgency that we must be stewards of the Gospel, of the friendship of God; an urgency of opportunity of giving thanks to God, for returning to God that which is God's alone. We pray that we may grow together in the stewardship of our lives.

Let us take a moment to prepare as we enter into the court of the Queen of Heaven and Earth. May every petition to her titles gain for us faith, hope and charity as we journey in this valley of tears.

Queen of Angels, *Pray for us. Queen of Patriarchs,* Queen of Prophets, * Queen of Apostles, * Queen of Martyrs, * Queen of Confessors, * Queen of Virgins, * Queen of all Saints, * Queen conceived without original sin, * Queen assumed into heaven, * Queen of the most holy rosary, * Queen of the family, * Queen of peace *

Please join us on the next nine Mondays, except on October 10th (Columbus Day), for prayer and reflections on Mary as Queen. The novena will start on Monday, October 3rd at 7:00 pm in the Church with the Blessing of Roses.

Natural Family Planning Information Night

God has created marriage, a holy union, to mirror His supreme love on earth. At the heart of their married love is the total gift of self that husband and wife freely offer to each other. Because of their sexual difference, husband and wife can truly become “one flesh.” Through the language of their bodies, their sexual union recalls their vows: giving themselves to one another in love that is total, faithful, and life-giving. This call to love is to follow Christ himself, who handed himself totally over for his bride, the Church. Spouses imitate him by giving the entirety of themselves to one another, including the gift of their fertility and their openness to new life. Natural Family Planning methods are scientifically proven approaches to help a couple postpone or achieve pregnancy in a way that preserves the true, complete self-gift between husband and wife, the kind of love that brings real, lasting joy and peace. When we embrace God’s plan for human sexuality and marriage and follow Jesus, we invite the Holy Spirit into our lives in a powerful way. To learn more, or to hear questions others have asked, please come to an informational session given by the Coordinator of Natural Family Planning for the Family Life Office, Jill Cherrey.
