Use a chalk to mark the lintel of your front door (or front porch step) as follows: 20 + C + M + B + 21 while saying: The three Wise Men, Caspar, Melchior, and Balthazar followed the star of God’s Son who became human two thousand and twenty-one years ago. May Christ bless our home and remain with us throughout the New Year. Amen. Then offer the following prayer: Visit, O blessed Lord, this home with the gladness of your presence. Bless all who live or visit here with the gift of your love; and grant that we may manifest your love to each other and to all whose lives we touch. May we grow in grace and in the knowledge and love of you; guide, comfort, and strengthen us in peace, O Jesus Christ, now and forever. Amen.

    Faith Formation News

Thank You We want to thank Faith Formation students and those who have been confirmed who have stepped up to help out with our worship in the past months. Lydia Bjorklund has been teaching Sunday classes to 1st and 2nd grades, and leading CLOW since October 2019. George Bjorklund hasgenerously been filming Sunday Mass so that people can join us using Zoom technology. Tyler Lindow and Daniel Lindow both helped out with readings during the Lessons and Carols service which was broadcast on the radio on Christmas Eve. Adeline Bjorklund, Addison Lindow and MacKenzie Lindow have all helped as cantors, enhancing our music ministry. We appreciate the extra effort put forth by these young people and their assistance in our liturgical celebrations.

Faith Formation Classes Resume Faith Formation in person classes will resume this week. Students in the Confirmation and Pre-Confirmation Program will be taking part in “Together In Spirit,” a diocesan online streaming program, on Wednesday, January 6th at 7:00 PM. The Diocese prefers the students to use their own devices, if possible. Come by 6:50 PM and get your devices connected on the Church Wi-Fi network. The featured speaker is Father Rob Galea fromAustralia. He is a singer and songwriter who has been featured in national newspapers, magazines and TV shows around the world. He was even a contestant on Australia's ‘The X-Factor’. Father Rob and his team minister to over 400,000 youth each year, carrying Christ's message of hope and relationship with Jesus to all they encounter.

Students in Grade 1 through Grade 6 will meet on Sunday, January 10th at Our Lady of the Pines Church. Classes will be held from 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. We ask you to stay back for the Mass along with your parents. With the new policy of in person learning at Nevis school, we are looking forward to seeing everyone here again. However, if you wish to complete classes at home, please contact the office and we will gather materials for you so that your children do not fall behind their class. ~ Ardis Johnson
