Holy Days of Obligation &

Christmas

2nd collection this week Mass for the Unclaimed

Bishop Douglas Deshotel celebrated a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, November 2 (All Souls’ Day), 2018, at 5:30pm at the Cathedral

of St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette. Men, women, children, and babies from throughout Lafayette Parish

who have died over the past year, and whose bodies have gone unclaimed, were laid to rest during this special Mass. This Corporal

Work of Mercy is the result of a partnership formed in 2012 between St. John’s Cathedral and Catholic Charities of Acadiana. The Mass honors

the dignity of human life, acknowledging that no one is ever forgotten in Christ.

Noah Cantrell is from South Louisiana and went on his first mission trip with Family Mis-sions Company back in 2003. He returned to Mexico 3 times on short term mission trips

and decided to join FMC full time with Intake 2013. Noah served his first year of missions, in Ahuano, Ecuador, and his second year in the community of Tres Unidos, Peru. After two

years out of the field, he has returned to the field and is serving in Taichung, Taiwan. To find out more about Family
