Dear parishioners and friends:
THE HOLY SEASON OF LENT…SEEK MERCY… LIVE MERCY
It is hard to believe, but the Season of Lent begins this Wednesday. I pray the Lenten Season is a time of renewal for you, your family, and our parish. In the bulletin this week you will find our Ash Wednesday and Lenten schedule. On Ash Wednesday, we are offering many Masses and Services throughout the day. The beautiful Lenten Devotion of the Stations of the Cross will be conducted at both St. Lawrence and St. Luke Churches. There is also plenty of opportunities to experience the Sacrament of Reconciliation in our parish. Confession is available before the Saturday evening Masses at both our churches and we are one of the only parishes in the diocese offering daily reconciliation, at 6:30 p.m. every weeknight at St. Lawrence. To enrich your prayer and faith life we will once again offer The Journey scripture and prayer program. If you were part of The Journey last fall, please join us for this new session and if you did not join us in the past I encourage you to join one of the groups during Lent. Daily Mass and Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament on Thursday’s are other ways to grow your faith life during Lent. Further, as we did last year, we will offer practical suggestions with prayer and service suggestions in our churches. Yes, Ash Wednesday is around the corner and Lent is fast approaching. Receive the Mercy of Christ during this Holy Season and live mercy as you practice acts of love and kindness at home and in the community. I pray you have a Blessed and Holy Lent.
God Bless you and your family, Father Vince
Queridos feligreses y amigos:
EN LA SÉPTIMA TEMPORADA DE CUARESMA ... BUSQUE MISERICORDIA ... AMOR Y MISERICORDIA
Dios te bendiga a ti y a tu familia, Padre Vicente
