PARISH ANNOUNCEMENTS
CCS Week
Last weekend we heard Lisa Gustaveson speak about how Catholic Community Services and Catholic Housing Services provide care for our poorest and most vulnerable neighbors on behalf of our local Church. Thank you to those of you who have already so generously made donations to CCS. Your gifts are used locally throughout Western Washington to provide essential services and programs for people desperately in need. As good stewards of your gifts, 91 cents of every dollar CCS spends goes directly to those in need. Please prayerfully consider making a donation by taking home a CCS Week pew envelope or visiting their website at www.ccsww.org, if you have not already done so. Thank you for your generosity and compassion in bringing light and hope to our neighbors in need.

INFORMATION DESK VOLUNTEERS
Do you have 15-20 minutes after Mass to help out at the Information Table? Your commitment is as little as 1 Mass per month. The training
is minimal and the bonus is you get to meet your fellow parishioners! We are in need of people for the Saturday 5pm and Sunday 10:30am Masses. If this is something that interests you, please stop by the Table for more information or call the Parish Office 283-1456.
We had a wonderful Mass on Monday for Immaculate Conception. Thank you to Ms. McNamee's 5th grade for serving as readers, gift bearers, and choir members.
The afterschool Creative Coding Classes beginning in January are filling up for our 3rd through 5th grade students. Snow Sports, too, is getting organized for the winter, and our 7th and 8th grade Speech Team is looking strong. Many thanks to the Fatima parents who organize these extracurricular activities for us! This coming Thursday is our all-school Christmas program. All families and parish members are welcome to join us for this very popular event, beginning at 7 p.m. in the church.
SIMBANG GABI Liturgy, December 20, 5:00 pm
Simbang Gabi is a celebration that
transcends cultural boundaries. The
procession of the beautiful paroles (star-shaped lanterns) at the beginning of the Advent Mass
reminds us that Jesus is the Light of the World. The readings, prayers and the singing by our Filipino
Choir heighten the anticipation of the birth of Jesus Christ.
All are invited for Simbang Gabi and the reception following the Mass where traditional Filipino food
will be served.

Our 10 guests would spend the night on the street if it wasn’t for the 7 “satellite” churches in the Seattle area who take the men in when the big shelter under the viaduct is full. At this time we need personal items such as disposable razors, packages of Kleenex, cough drops, small bottles of antiseptic wash and small deodorants. Any number of each is more than welcome.
