INFANT BAPTISMS For children under 7 years of age, the sacrament is celebrated the FIRST Sunday of the month at 2:00 pm. The parents must register in the parish office at least 4 weeks prior to the baptism. Both parents and godparents are expected to attend one catechetical session in advance, on the Wednesday before the baptism, at 7:00 pm.

SACRAMENTS OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION Before being fully initiated into the sacramental life of the Church, children over the age of 7 will need catechetical prepa-ration through the RCIC process. Teenagers and adults will par-ticipate in separate RCIA processes.

CONFIRMATION and COMMUNION For those already baptized, preparation for these Sacraments will take place according to the person’s age and knowledge of the Catholic Faith. For further information contact the Office of Faith Formation Program.

MARRIAGES Couples should contact the parish office at least six months in advance to make the proper ar rangements for the Sacrament of Matrimony.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK Please contact the parish office.

RECONCILIATION A priest is available for Confessions on Saturday afternoon from 3:30 pm to 4:30 pm. You can also make an individual appoint-ment.

EL BAUTISMO DE NIÑOS Solamente para los niños menores de los 7 años de edad, se celebra el sacramento el SEGUNDO y el CUARTO domingo del mes a las 2:00 pm. Es preciso que los padres se inscriban en la parroquia por lo menos 4 semanas antes del bautismo. Ambos padres y padrinos deberán asistir a una instrucción catequética, la noche del Miercoles anterior al bautizo a las 7:00 pm.

SACRAMENTOS DE LA INICIACIÓN CRISTIANA Con el propósito de participar plenamente en la vida sacramen-tal de la Iglesia, los niños mayores de los 7 años de edad, nece-sitarán prepararse en el proceso de Iniciación Cristiana Para Niños. Los jóvenes y los adultos se preparán separadamente en el proceso del RICA.

CONFIRMACIÓN Y COMUNIÓN Para los que ya están bautizados, la preparación para estos Sacramentos se llevará a cabo de acuerdo con la edad de la persona y su conocimiento de la Fe Católica. Para más infor-mación comunicarse con la Oficina de Formación de la Fe.

MATRIMONIOS La pareja deberá de comunicarse con el despacho pastoral y hacer su solicitud minimo seis meses antes de la fecha de la boda, para entrevistarse con el sacerdote e iniciar la prepara-ción matrimonial.

UNCIÓN DE LOS ENFERMOS Favor de comunicarse con el despacho pastoral. RECONCILIACIÓN El Sacramento se celebra semanalmente los sábados de 3:30 pm a 4:30 pm. También se puede fijar una cita para la Con-fesión otro día de la semana con un sacerdote.

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK Dear Parishioners, We have begun another year of grace. It is a year of grace because God gives us life in order that we may allow him to fill us with his grace as he filled the Blessed Mother with grace. We celebrated the Solemnity of the Mother of God on the first day of this year as we do each year. Mary is the model of the Church and we are encouraged to be open to God’s grace in our lives as Mary is. This weekend we celebrate the Epiphany which means mani-festation or showing. We remember that Jesus was shown to the Magi, also known as the Wise Men, who came from a distance searching for the one whom they were being drawn to, Jesus, the one whom they needed to find. We need to ask for God’s grace to continue our journey in the New Year. It is always good to see parishioners and everyone who comes at the beginning of the year to Church. The best way to start our journeys in life is to do it by asking for God’s help and guidance. Let us continue to ask God to help everyone in our parish to receive his grace and to follow in the direction that God is leading us. Like the Magi, we are being drawn by God to come to where we need to encounter him. There is a distance that we must travel. Let us be confi-dent and trust that God will give us what we need to arrive where he wants us to be this year and every year of grace that we are blessed to received from the Lord.

DEL ESCRITORIO DEL PÁRROCO

Queridos Feligreses:

Hemos comenzado otro año de gracia. Es un año de gracia porque Dios nos da vida y podamos permitirle que nos llene con su gracia asi como el llena a la Santísima Madre con gracia. Celebramos la solemnidad de la Madre de Dios el primer día de este año como lo hacemos cada año. María es el modelo de la Iglesia y se nos alienta a estar abiertos a la gra-cia de Dios en nuestras vidas como lo es María. Este fin de semana celebramos la Epifanía que significa manifestación o demostración. Recordamos que Jesús fue mostrado a los Ma-gos, también conocidos como los Reyes Magos, que vinieron desde la distancia en busca de aquel a quien estaban siendo atraídos, Jesús, a quien necesitaban encontrar. Necesitamos pedir la gracia de Dios para continuar nuestro viaje en el Año Nuevo. Siempre es bueno ver a los feligreses ya todos los que vienen a la Iglesia a principios de año. La mejor manera de comenzar nuestros viajes en la vida es hacerlo pidiendo la ayuda y la guía de Dios. Continuemos pidiéndole a Dios que ayude a todos en nuestra parroquia a reci-bir su gracia y a seguir en la dirección que Dios nos está guiando. Al igual que los Magos, Dios nos atrae a llegar a donde necesitamos encontrarnos con él. Hay una distancia que debemos recorrer. Confiemos y confiemos en que Dios nos dará lo que necesitamos para llegar a donde quiere que estemos este año y cada año de gracia que somos bendecidos para recibir del Señor.

Monday, January 21st, is the Martin Luther King Day and a National Holiday. The Rectory Office will be closed. No Mass at 7 am. The Church will close following the 8:30 am Mass.
