Our key assets...

For driversComputer-generated imagery equivalent to the very best video games (MATRIX technology), lifelike train dynamics, and realistic simulation of thousands of kilometres of track at affordable prices, using Mobile Mapping technology.

For instructorsThe interface allows you to create and replay scenarios, as well as alter them in real time. Observe your trainees, monitor and analyse their actions, measure their progress, and much more.

... Additional benefits

Bespoke design for each of your simulation projects

Industrial knowhow production units plus a network of qualified subcontractors.

Project management quality control, keeping to deadlines, and staying on budget

Train dynamics High-level realism

CORYS is pushing the envelope of train dynamic modelling to unparalleled precision: traction, braking circuits, gradient, movement and stress propagation, liquid displacement in tanks on bends, wheel-rail interaction, around coupling failure prevention, etc. Never has virtual driver training been so lifelike!

Freight train driver simulators enhance basic learning and provide lifelong training, with a direct impact on operational profitability and rolling stock lifespan.

Route learning

Mobile Mapping allows thousands of kilometres of track to be generated quickly and inexpensively. CGI imagery provides high-fidelity rendering of shapes, proportions, colours and textures. Drivers can familiarise themselves with their routes just as if they were on the actual track.

CGI imagery

Thousands of kilometres of track faithfully reproduced, with image quality equivalent to state of the art video games

Train editor

Instructors can configure freight trains several kilometres long, wagon by wagon, to include characteristics for each locomotive, the braking system, tank load, etc.

Train dynamic display

Heavy freight train driver training aid

Instructor interface

Create and replay scenarios, and alter them in real time. Observe your trainees, monitor and analyse their actions, and measure their progress.

Eco driving Aiming for profitability

Teach drivers economical driving technics using the simulator’s educational tools. Real-time consumption display, anticipating braking and acceleration, reference graphs, and so on can bring energy use down by 5-10%, making an immediate impact on operational profitability.

The replica (with cabin and desk) is a high-level training resource, recognising the driving profession and enhancing operators brand image. Drivers have exactly the same desk as they do in real life.

Replicatotal immersion

With a simplified driver desk, touchscreens and interchangeable controls, the multipurpose desk can simulate a number of different train models. Ideal for training drivers on diverse or upgraded rolling stock.

Deskflexibility

CORYS is the first manufacturer to have designed a portable simulator fitted with simplified equipment. The “Compact” model is suitable for basic training: driving procedures, typical regimes, procedures, etc. An excellent solution at a competitive price.

Compactmobility

For use in classrooms, to practice a specific procedure or signal that has just been explained by the instructor. Touchscreen emulates the dashboard instruments required for the exercise.

Softsimsimplicity

To address all types of training needs, CORYS has four types of simulator, all based on the same software platform, with each model geared to specific teaching requirements.

World-class simulatorsCORYS is constantly innovating, backed by a sustained commitment to R&D. The firm has launched the first ever compact network simulator and the MATRIX CGI engine, automatically generating thousands of kilometres of stunningly realistic virtual track that closely models real-life terrain.

Turnkey simulatorsCORYS is a designer, manufacturer and integrator. The company brings together the skills of specialists in transportation, goods trains, modelling, engineering, ergonomics, training, graphic design, computing, and more. CORYS can install turnkey simulators on client premises, and provide training for instructors.

Simulator availability After commissioning, CORYS can guarantee simulator availability thanks to dedicated maintenance teams, on call worldwide. CORYS is also on hand for updates (for new rolling stock, new signalling, etc.) and, when needed, complete overhauls.

A benchmark in simulation for freight rail

CORYS is the company of reference in simulation for freight rail, with more than 200 simulators delivered to operators all over the world. References include BNSF (USA), the first freight operator to have opted for driver training on simulators, in 1996.

Simulators delivered with new rolling stockCORYS often works hand in hand with manufacturers delivering rolling stock, all the better to address operators’ training needs.

CORYS is an established leader in dynamic simulation for training and engineering of complex

systems for the Transportation, Power, Oil & Gas and Chemical industries. CORYS is owned by Framatome (50%),

EDF (25%) and IFP Training (25%). CORYS has its headquarters in Grenoble (France) with subsidiaries in the United-States (Jacksonville,

Houston and Eatontown) and in China (Beijing and Xi’an) as well as joint-ventures in Cyprus and in India (HyperionRSI Simulation).

Framatome is a major international player in the nuclear industry recognized for its innovative solutions and high added value technologies for the design, construction, maintenance and development of the world’s nuclear fleet. The company designs and manufactures components, fuel and services for reactors.Every day, thanks to its 14,000 employees throughout the world, Framatome puts its expertise at the service of its customers to enable them to improve safety and the performance of their nuclear power plants and to contribute to achieving their economic and societal goals.
