The Wallick Companies – Evaluation Process.

• September 2007 – Using Two Properties converted and ran

parallel to PMAS/RPP. – Both Managers were seasoned and technology

savy.– Training done by Domin-8.

• November 2007– Corporate Decision made to move entire

portfolio to i-Cam during 2008.• Factors:

– Ease of Use for On Site Managers– Tight Operational Controls– Accuracy and consistency of data.

• Implementation Groups Defined.– First by Regional Manager– Property Type– Number of units (No more than 1500 Units per

month)

• Dataconversion – Data Extracted from RPP/PMAS– Data converted from RPP/PMAS format to i-

Cam format by Domin-8’s Implementation Team using CDM.

– Data returned to Wallick for Review in Setup Mode

The Wallick Companies – Conversion Methodology.

• Training and Data Review and Scrub– Managers brought to Wallick Corporate Office

for 2 ½ days – Most months 4 trainings were held to keep

class size smaller.• Day 1 (all day) and Day 2 (AM)

– i-Cam Training done by Wallick Staff who had received i-Cam CCT Certification.

• Day 2 (PM) and Day 3 – Manager Reviews data against actual resident files

for accuracy. » Occupancy Status and Program Type» Resident AR Balances» Escrow Balances» Monthly Charges

– Data is corrected and needed while still in Setup Mode by the Manager with the assistance of Wallick Trainers.

• Continued• Day 2 (PM) and Day 3

– When data is certified accurate by Manager, Regional Supervisor and Accounting Representative, Rent Pre-Check and Post Rents is performed bring property out of Setup Mode and into Live Mode.

• Remainder of Set up Month and entire next month data is entered into both systems and checked daily to make sure data is in sync.

• PMAS/RPP is still driving the General Ledger during this period.

• At conclusion of month following Setup, i-Cam reports are verified again to make sure they are accurate and property ceases to use old system on first day of the next month.

The Wallick Companies – Conversion Methodology.

• Time Line Example (Setup and Training in March)– At February Close (Approximatley 23rd) data is

extracted and Sent to Domin-8 for Conversion.– Data return to Wallick by second week of

March– Third and Fourth Week of March training and

scrub sessions are held. – Upon Conclusion of Training and Scrub session,

property enters data in both system for Remainder of March and all of April

– March and April GL Driven by PMAS/RPP– Upon Rent-Precheck and Post of Rents for May,

property is considered “Live” and ceases using PMAS/RPP for AR/Tenant Activites.

– May GL Driven by i-Cam.

The Wallick Companies – Lessons Learned.

• Include Managers, Regional Supervisors and Accounting folks in entire process.

• Better to schedule more training and Scrub Sessions with smaller classes then try to do larger classes.

• Keep Chocolate on the tables during Training.• Create Company Specific “How2s”• Make Michelle Yarborough your best friend,

you will need her.
