Dear CMW Members:
I cannot believe that April is here!!
Where is spring? I believe that I missed it but what beautiful snow for inspiration on
paintings. Donna Jarve had a great demonstration in March. Go on the CMW website
to see some of the pictures of her demonstration. It is always fun to see different
ideas to create a masterpiece.
Shelly also gave a great overview of social media an hour prior to the March meeting.
She will give another presentation on how to set up your own free art website and
how to get your artwork online. This will be one hour before the May meeting so
make certain that you put that on your calendar.
Frank Zeller is our demonstrator April 8. I find it is fun to look each person up on his
website as Frank does all kinds of watercolor landscapes, scenes and still life. We also
have many lists for you to sign up for displaying your work, plus information on
ordering monogrammed shirts & hats. We need you to sign up so that we know how
many are participating.
Remember, we have three positions opening January 1, 2014, President, Vice-
President and Newsletter/Secretary. Seriously think about taking on a board
position, it is a good way to meet members and to grow in our club. Let one of us on
the board know if you are interested.
Artists of Minnesota has their spring show here in St Cloud, April 19, 20, & 21,
Saturday at the Paramount and Sunday at the Kelly Inn. Our CMW website has
more information. We are so lucky to be able to make the website beneficial for every-

Frank Zeller will be demonstrating how he uses applications
of masking fluid, black markers and soft “Unison Pastels”
to create a beautiful watercolor painting. His technique is
based on the work of Ray Balkwell, an English painter.
Don’t miss out on this artist of Minnesota, he also paints in
oil as well as acrylic.

Central Minnesota Watercolorists Membership Registration General Meetings are held at 7:00 pm, the second Monday of each of the following months: February, March, April, May, October, & December at Atonement Lutheran Church, 1144 29th Ave No. St. Cloud, MN. The second Monday of September is reserved for our annual business & dinner meeting, held at a local restaurant.
Our December meeting doubles as a Christmas Party, to which we invite spouses, friends, & prospective members. A monthly newsletter is sent to members via email. The newsletter provides information each month
