Laconia is in the southeast of Peloponnese. Its capital is SpartaSparta. It is between Taygetos and Parnonas. The Evrotas river flows across the valley of Sparta.

Laconia has a lot of sights.Some of them are the very beautiful beaches,the mountains of Taygetos and Parnonas , the Evrotas river and the caves of Diros .There are a lot of awesome castles too.

Also on Sparti you can see the statue of Leonidas and the central square , the library, museums , the national gallery, churches…etc

The climate of Greece is Mediterranean. Winters are cool and usually it rains!!!

The history of Sparta is one of the most famous e.g King Leonidas and the 300 soldiers, Konstantinos Paleologos the king of Mystras, Likourgos the legislator e.t.c. Tourists can visit museums and archeological sites all over Laconia

People in Laconia are farmers and growers.

They mostly grow oranges and olive trees.
