Our Community House Position Description Position Title: House Host Reports to: Community Manager Employment Type: Permanent Full Time / Part Time Job Share Organisational Overview: Our Community House is a world-first data-focussed coworking space for social sector and B Corp organisations located in North Melbourne, Victoria. Our Community House brings together more than 400 not-for-profit and B Corp (social sector) workers to share facilities, collaborate and rethink how change is made in Australia. Backed by Australia’s leading social investors and managed by Our Community – one of Australia’s first and most successful B corporates – Our Community House is a modern, sustainable, art-filled, human-centred workplace that’s designed to inspire innovation, creativity and inclusion. Overview of Responsibilities: The House Host is the first and most important face of our organisation, from welcoming guests to responding to questions or concerns, our host connects our members with our services. As a space dedicated to serving the needs of social sector members, our host must have an engaging and warm manner, be friendly, outgoing, highly professional with a great work ethic and positive attitude. You should be described as highly organised, resourceful and a self-starter able to handle details well and promote our ethos of innovation, creativity and inclusion. Main activities / key accountabilities As the Our Community House Host, you will be responsible for: Meeting and greeting all guests and members to Our Community House, Managing a busy email inbox, ensuring responses are timely, helpful and thoughtful, Answering internal and external phone calls in a professional and helpful manner, Assisting members and staff with issues or inquiries as they arise, Coordinating and providing a range of administrative support services including mail and courier services (receiving and dispatching), filing, emailing, scanning, photocopying, printing and preparation of correspondence, Managing enquiries and meeting room bookings, troubleshooting and issue resolution, Coordinating trial days (walk-ins and day passes), Managing catering orders, preparation and clean-up of meeting/training rooms, Managing meeting room set up, including AV requirements and pack down, Ensuring all areas and surrounds are tidy and welcoming at all times. As part of the broader team you will also assist with: Tidying kitchen, when possible, including stacking and unstacking the dishwashers, wiping surfaces and re-positioning appliances, Following the daily opening and closing task check list,

Mainactivities/keyaccountabilities

AstheOurCommunityHouseHost,youwillberesponsiblefor:

• MeetingandgreetingallguestsandmemberstoOurCommunityHouse,• Managingabusyemailinbox,ensuringresponsesaretimely,helpfulandthoughtful,• Answeringinternalandexternalphonecallsinaprofessionalandhelpfulmanner,• Assistingmembersandstaffwithissuesorinquiriesastheyarise,• Coordinatingandprovidingarangeofadministrativesupportservicesincludingmailandcourier
