Titan Partners is developing a mid-sized petroleum storage and distribution terminal that will bring American- made fuel to regional consumers and businesses. The planned facility, which will occupy a small portion of a 147-acre property near Interstate 40, has been designed to meet or exceed federal, state, and local environmental and safety requirements. Protecting the Environment and Public Every decision we make puts safety and environmental stewardship first. SAFEGUARDING WATER RESOURCES We are committed to protecting the region’s water resources by utilizing state-of-the-art technologies and best management practices. Environmental protection begins by ensuring that construction of the fuel tanks, piping, and equipment achieves the highest level of integrity and that all equipment is inspected regularly. Titan will maintain a system of monitoring of all assets along with site-specific plans and trainings. We have proactive release prevention plans in place in accordance with U.S. EPA regulations. Impermeable containment systems will be constructed in all operational areas to protect water. Site stormwater will be managed in accordance with applicable regulations, including a discharge permit from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC). Titan will perform compliance monitoring and inspections to protect stormwater and prevent releases. PROTECTING AIR QUALITY Titan will implement proactive management plans to ensure compliance with its air permit issued by the TDEC. Air compliance planning includes the use of cone roof storage tanks with internal floating roofs with primary and secondary seals to minimize vapor emissions, and primary and back-up vapor emissions controls at the truck loading rack. Continuous emissions monitoring of the loading operations will include an automated shutdown feature to ensure emissions are continuously below permitted levels. MAINTAINING SAFE WORK SITES The terminal will be built with world-class technology, including numerous safety and security features. In addition, Titan will develop site-specific safety policies and procedures based on Buckeye’s comprehensive safety program. The facility will utilize a security plan approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) that includes controlled site access and 24/7 video monitoring. Titan will develop a fire pre-plan in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) guidelines for review by the state fire marshall and local fire officials. Fire prevention planning includes installing an on-site fire suppression system, foam staging, and detector monitoring. We will employ comprehensive safety training programs in partnership with local, county and state agencies, as well as the local fire department, to observe, monitor or participate in the periodic drills.
