and Beatrice (Burch) Horner. She attended Athens High School,graduating in 1949, and went on to complete Wright BeautyAcademy in Battle Creek. Jean wed Melvin Albright inLeonidas. He survives. While her daughters were in school, Jeanoperated a home-based beauty salon, but she later attended Kel-logg Community College for nursing and attained an RN licensein 1982. Copeland passed away onMay 17, 2020 at Glenn ArborHospice. Leslie was born onMay 10, 1949 in Stockton,California. She resided untilher illness in the MarshalManor House.Leslie was predeceased by

her parents, Clinton and MayBradshaw, her beloved hus-band, John, sister, Merri, andbrother-in-law, Harvey.

She is survived by two sisters, Judith and Karen/Lyman, onebrother, Clinton/Christina, and one brother-in-law, Roger. Lesliewas loved by many nieces and nephews. 2 special families thatLeslie adopted in her heart were, Michael and Jennifer and chil-dren, Bill and Janie Coble and children.Leslie, a Tuesday Child, which means full of grace, describes

Leslie to a tee. Leslie was born in Stockton, CA. She graduatedfrom Springvale Academy in 1967. Leslie and her 4 siblingslived in 4 different states by her graduation, so they were con-sidered to be the well traveling gypsy band. Leslie once aspiredto be a professional bowler, bowling well into the 200's. Whileat the bowling alley, a young man caught Leslie's eye, his namewas John, and the strikes lit up the sky. The two bowlers fell inlove and were married on December 28, 1974. From that day onthey got matching bowling shirts entitled, Mr. John and Mrs.Leslie Copeland.John and Leslie started the Can Do Religious Ministry in NorthCarolina and some Southern States preaching and teaching theword of God to many different people and churches. Throughouttheir ministries they also were entrepreneurs and sold manyunique items at many different market places in different states.Then, as a resident of North Carolina, Leslie started a career ofbookkeeping for a large retail grocery store. John and Leslie re-turned to Michigan after John suffered a long illness. When Johndied Leslie moved to the Marshall Manor House. Leslie was anavid jewelry maker, which she turned into her small business,still making beautiful jewelry to the end.Leslie was an active member of Woodland Church. Her role

on the connection team was where she shined, she brought manya smile and a hug to everyone she greeted at church. Lesliewanted you all to know she is now inhabiting heaven and oncemore greeting all who come home.Arrangements entrusted to the Baxter Funeral and Cremation
