Education

• Was elected senator by classmates• Went to Boys Nation for high school• Decided to be a politic after meeting

President Kennedy • Decided to go to Georgetown

University through 1964-1968• Won Rhodes Scholarship in 1968• Attended Oxford University• Then went to Yale Law School and

graduated with law degree

Career

• He took a job as a law professor at the University of Arkansas

• He entered the election for the U.S House of Representatives and lost to John P. Hammershmidt

• Then Clinton married Hillary Rodham

• Then he ran for attorney general

• After that, he ran for governor and won

• In 1980 ,he lost for reelection, but decided to run again and he won from 1982-1990

Presidency

• In July,1992 the Democratic Party nominated as their presidential candidate

• He ran against George Bush and H. Ross Perot

• He then won in November • He created a health care plan for

Congress to pass it • He was then denied by Congress

because they thought it cost to much money

• In 1996 for reelection with Bob Dole and Ross Perot

• When he was running he was in the Whitewater Scandal and this lady, Paula Jones , was suing him

• Even though, he was elected by many people

Impeachment• In 1998 a man

named Kenneth Star said he heard that Clinton had an affair with a lady named Monica Lewinsky

• When he took a truth oath Star said Bill was lying under oath

• In 1998 the House of Representatives voted to impeach him

• Many believed Clinton should be removed from office

• It was continued until 1999,when less than half of the Senate voted to remove him

Finished With Office• Since he couldn’t serve

more than two terms he couldn’t run again in 2000

• George W. Bush ran with Vice President Al Gore and it was close in that election

• Finally George W. Bush won the election for president

• On Clinton’s last day he admitted he lied in court so his law license was taken away
