In every Châteauform’, an old secret is passed onto the hosts… This is the secret your participants must try to discover during this challenge! Participants will be divided into teams to follow a route defined in a roadbook specifically tailored to your company. A series of obstacles will call on their team spirit to help them find the key words necessary to resolve the challenge. Which ones will be the fastest to discover the secret of the site so well guarded by the hosts? We will find out together at the prize giving with a drink at the bar or out in the grounds.

African Drumming When participants walk into the room they see an exotic array of authentic West African djembe drums. After a humorous warm-up, we facilitate simple interlocking parts that soon become musical, giving delegates a palpable sense of achievement. The group learns to « rumble », play call-and-reponse patterns; delegates have the opportunity to work in smaller groups where they invent their own rhythms to add to the final orchestrated performance piece. African Remix This session is truly Diversity in Action. In Africa there is never drumming without singing, or singing without dancing. Everybody belongs and everybody has a part to play, regardless of age or gender. The philosophy behind this is ‘Ubuntu’, which means ‘I am because we are’ – a very direct experience of team work in action. Storytelling Our trainers facilitate the team to create a heroic story and perform it, all in one session. Canapés Creation Can you design, prepare and cook canapés good enough to wow a professional Chef? Begin with an introduction from the Chef about menu planning and time management, the corner stone of effective canapé making, followed by a demonstration and a practical session in which all the guests will make their own range of luxury canapés to include, blinis and bases, roulards, skewered canapés, tomato shots and risotto balls. To conclude our Chef will show the guests how to present the canapés using mirrors, granites and slates and will then demonstrate a variety of simple garnishes that give the real wow factor. Tapas Tapas is the latest in cookery team building. In this activity we will give the teams a mystery bag of ingredients and a larder with a few optional extras for the teams to get creative with. Sushi After by a short history and some facts about Sushi, participants will be divided into teams. A professional demonstration will be given including classic and modern sushi such as Fu maki Ura Maki (Californian roll) Temaki and Nigirizushi. They will also be shown how to cook perfect rice. Each team will have to make the best Sushi display and be creative. This is a great event if you want to give your team a unique experience and learn new skills. After judging, guests can enjoy the fruits of their labour and eat what they have made. We will also provide some take away boxes. British Bake Off Challenge Inspired by BBC2 programme, Great British Bake Off. Teams face the challenge of creating a scrumptious afternoon tea. After a short introduction and demonstration the Chef will give teams a challenge to make a variety of bakery and pastry items, teams of 6 to 8 participants then go head to head to make, bake, and ice, a variety of bakery items while the clock is ticking. Penalties will be given for undercooked cake or spilt custards. The Chef will judge each category such as technical, star bake, showstopper and fermented awarding points for creativity, skill and taste. Weather permitting we will serve afternoon tea on the lawn with a picnic rug or on the patio. Laughter Therapy Workshop Who doesn’t need a laugh? A laugh places us in a positive mood that helps us face daily situations. Improving our sense of humour does not mean laughing all time or for any reason, but it does help us see reality from a more positive point of view and deal with difficult situations. It motivates us, encourages collaboration and creates close ties with others. This workshop doesn’t just offer entertaining moments, it also shows us how to apply these techniques in order to maintain a more optimistic outlook. This helps us to be happier, solve our problems more easily and enjoy a better quality of life. It can also be combined with yoga, relaxation techniques and meditation.

Quiz Night We will provide a Quiz Master who will hand out questions in a variety of categories (some tailored to meet the clients specific requierements). The group will be divided into teams and after each round, an answer sheet will be passed to the neighbouring table to be marked when our Quiz Master will call out the answers.
