OT ACTIVITIES 5/4/20-5/7/20 Trace either the pre-writing sheet or name sheet (emailed to you previously) do this activity
daily, use a page protector and dry erase marker.
5/4/2020 Have your child complete the triangle dot and trace sheet. Use dot markers
and/or stickers on each dot.
Modifications: place cereal or mini marshmallows on the circles.
5/5/2020 Trace and Cut: Trace and cut either the dinosaur line sheet or the dinosaur shape
sheet. Pick which one you feel is most appropriate for your child.
5/6/2020 Dinosaur collage: Have your child cut strips of paper and then tear and glue
paper on the dinosaur.
Modifications: The parent cuts the strips: then the parent cuts little snips into the strips. This will assist the child with tearing the paper. (We have done this in OT and your child should know to look for the little cuts in the strip to tear the paper.)
5/7/2020 Dinosaur Puzzle: Have your child color the dinosaur. Then have your child cut
the dinosaur to make a puzzle. Have your child glue the puzzle back together on another piece
of paper.
Modifications: Break down the puzzle one by drawing long straight lines with a
highlighter marker, and have your child cut on the highlighted lines. (It is always easier
to provide hand over assistance when cutting from behind your child.)
Alternate or bonus activity: Trace and color the dinosaur tracing sheet.
5/8/2020 Have your child build with Legos or Duplos (Use what you have and/or pick what
is safest for your child/siblings, especially if children put items in their mouths) Challenging: Build or draw a pattern for them to copy (i.e. blue Lego, white Lego, blue
Lego, white Lego etc.…)
