Saturday, March 4, we celebrated the Grand
Opening of our seventh clinic, located in the
West Valley on the Northeast corner of 59th
Ave. and Peoria. We had a family, fun-filled
day that not only reflected OSR's culture, but
also revealed the energetic environment we
have carefully cultivated since our start in
2003. As a bonus, we were privileged to host
the Glendale Fire Department, as well as the
OSR Sprint Car and driver Bob Ream Jr.
We value each and every one of you who
attended our newest clinic’s Grand Opening
celebration. We are thankful to have you in
our OSR family and appreciate your valuable
support in our mission of positively
impacting and improving the quality of life
for each and every patient who walks
through our doors. We look forward to
instilling this at our newest location in
Glendale for years to come!

Dear Patients, Family, and Friends,
Here we are, just into the new year, and with that comes the excitement of challenges and opportunities in front of all of us. Here at
OSR Physical Therapy, as we continue to grow stronger in numbers and better able to serve more patients and their families, we
consistently strive to provide the best in high-quality healthcare, each and every day.
Of course, we couldn't do what we do as a company without all the wonderful staff members we have. We are blessed to have the
best, and we know, through patient satisfaction surveys and comments, that you feel the same way!
Looking ahead, we are excited about where we are headed as an organization. Despite some of the uncertainty that is evident in the
world of healthcare, we recognize a great opportunity to deliver our service, which is both high quality and affordable. As the industry
looks to find ways to serve more and more people in a cost-effective manner, we feel like we are in a great position to be the
provider of choice for so many. As we move forward in this new era, we are dedicated to delivering the exceptional quality and
customer service you deserve.
Thank you for all of your continued support, and we wish you the best this year!

A Note To Our Patients From The CEO
"Feed, Clothe, House, Heal" is the motto of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, an international
non-profit organization dedicated to serving the poor and providing others with the opportunity to
serve. This motto is a message of hope for the thousands of homeless men and women on the
streets of Phoenix. This is a motto that hits home for OSR Physical Therapy’s North Phoenix Clinic
Director Chris Ellis, PT, DPT. He has a philanthropic heart that continues to push his team to “raise
the bar” in service to others. Pictured here are the OSR North Phoenix staff putting together food
baskets and creating hopeful messages that will go on water bottles distributed to the homeless
population. While Dr. Ellis never makes it mandatory for his staff to attend, he finds they are always
eager to donate their time. He explains that at the heart of it, they are in this business for one
reason: to help others.

With temperatures slowly rising to the 80s and 90s this month, it’s safe to say Arizona’s winter
weather is on its way out. Fortunately, the rising temperatures offer Valley of the Sun residents with
an alternative way to exercise.
The team at OSR Physical Therapy often recommends utilizing a swimming pool as part of a workout
regimen. Aquatic exercise can be a fun, stress relieving activity with many health benefits, including:
• Warm water can boost muscle relaxation, increase circulation, and decrease pain sensitivity.
• Water reduces gravitational pull, decreasing pressure on healing structures.
• Water is the perfect medium for building strength safely; the buoyancy provides resistance for strength training.
If your physical therapist hasn’t already suggested aquatic exercise, he or she may recommend it to
you if you suffer from low back pain, joint pain, muscle weakness, post-surgical pain, and
neurological injuries. Make sure you talk to your physical therapist about aquatic therapy before you
start exercising in the pool. Until then, stay cool!

5 Fun Facts About March MadnessMarch Madness is ocially upon us, which means you’ve already
completed several brackets hoping to win cash, serious bragging rights,
or both. In light of this fantastic event, we’ve got a few fun facts about
March Madness*:
• Your odds of filling out a perfect bracket are lower than winning the lottery, getting struck by lightning, and having a boa constrictor emerge from your toilet, combined.
• Hourly corporate losses will amount to roughly $1.9 billion this year as a result of workers diverting their attention to March Madness.
• No #5 seeded team has ever won a championship.
• The phrase “March Madness” was coined by sportscaster Brent Musburger in 1982.
• At 31, the head coach of the Indiana Hoosiers, Emmett “Branch” McCracken, became the youngest coach to win a national title. (The team won in 1940)
