O POWER SUPPLYOslo Data Center Location is located at a strong node and interconnection point of the national (TSO/420 kV), regional (DSO/132 kV, and local (22 kV) power grids. This can be supplemented with approximately 50 MW of local hydro power generation in adjacent river Begna.

The local utility, Ringeriks-Kraft Nett AS, has permits and ability to deliver up to 100 MW at the site within 12 months from order / investment decision.

O TECHNICAL PROPOSAL FOR 100 MWA 2,6 km 22 kV cable can be constructed from the Follum substation utilizing an idle 80 MVA transformer and adjacent 80 + 60 MVA transformers to 100 MW capacity.

Power redundancy solutions can be provided as indicated in the map to the right.

10 MW is already available at site to be provided during construction.

O EXTENSIONS UP TO 300 MWThe power supply can be extended with an additional 200 MW by constructing a dedicated 132 / 22 kV substa-tion at the site.

Such extensions will be established by the regional grid operator (DSO / 132 kV) Glitre Energi Nett AS in collabo-ration with the national TSO Statnett SF (300 – 420 kV).

O FOLLUMMOENThe land covers a total area of 130 Ha. Excluding the necessary space for public roads, green belts, buffer zones and the existing rail road and 300 kV power lines, it is expected that the buildable flat area should be in the order of 60 Ha on the upper level (155 ± 5 m.a.s.), and 18 Ha on two separate lower levels (approx. 125 m.a.s.).

The development is directed by the municipality, provid-ing a generic industrial zoning plan which is taking into account the specific needs of a typical hyper scale datacenter.

O GEOTECHNICAL STATUSThe area consists of stable and dry gravel to a depth of roughly 15–50 metres above solid bedrock.

Geotechnical analysis shows that the site is suitable for industrial development.

Buildings with a ground pressure up to 200 – 300 kPa can be constructed practically anywhere in the area.

O ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ANALYSISOnsite visits and public records show no environmental issues in conflict with the purpose of building large scale data centres.

The soil is well suited for surface water management and drainage, even following extensive hard surface construction.

No cultural heritage or archeological sites are recorded in the area.

O ZONING PLANThe borders of the zoning plan are according to the map on page 2.

The further process will progress according to the following milestones in the zoning plan preparation are expected: Formal startup mid October 2016 Municipal Council First political evaluation January 2017 Municipal Council Final approval June – Sept 2017 Municipal Council
