Orientation Workshop on Dry Land Management Technologies for Rajasthan State NABARD officials

An orientation workshop on Dry Land Management Technologies was organized for Rajasthan State’s NABARD officials (District Development Managers) on 23rd February 2018 at CAZRI, Jodhpur. Dr O P Yadav, Director CAZRI, highlighted the research work being conducted by the institute for welfare of people residing in difficult situations of desert eco system. Dr R K Kaul made a detailed presentation on Institute technologies, along with their scope of adoption by farmers. Dr P Santra and Dr Akath Singh explained models of green energy generation through use of solar and wind energy and Pomegranate cultivation in western Rajasthan.

Sh A K Singh, Chief General Manager NABARD, Regional Office, Jaipur and thirty officials of NABARD representing 32 districts of Rajasthan visited Central nursery of floriculture, horticulture and forestry plants, Agrostology block for pasture development, Protected Agriculture for growing vegetables, Gum and Resin Block, Cumin seed production farm, Animal feed block unit, Solar Yard for Agri Photo Voltaic System and Horticulture Farm. The team took keen interest in all research activities and appreciated excellent field demonstrations of refined technologies. Dr Pratibha Tewari, highlighted the objectives of workshop and coordinated the capacity development of NABARD officials through organizing technological backstopping workshop.
