332nd International Conference of Dermatology 2016 (2nd ICD 2016) & XIIIth National Conference of SocietyOf Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal (XIIIth SODVELONCON)

We are pleased to announce the 2nd International Conference of Dermatology in Nepal on 20-22nd October 2016 to be organized by the Society of Dermatologists, Venereologists and Leprologists of Nepal (SODVELON). The theme of the conference is “Ethics and communication skills in Dermatology”, which is very relevant especially in the context of present practice.

The conference will have guest lectures, symposiums, plenary sessions and workshops in various aspects of Dermatology,Venereology and Leprology. The deliberations and sharing of experiences in these topics from the experts from different parts of the world is expected to largely benefit the academicians and the practitioners in this field.

Since Nepal is a country of natural, cultural and ethnic diversities, and is considered among the top tourist destination in the world, the delegates will be able to enjoy the natural beauties along with the world famous cultural heritages to the fullest. The view of great Himalayas, trekking, jungle safaris and many outdoor activities will keep you spell bound. The country will also experience the best of its weather during this period. Hence, the delegates will have to plan accordingly well ahead of this conference so as to enjoy Nepalese warmth and hospitality at its best.

Nepal has recently faced the worst earthquake disaster that killed thousands of people; destroyed several architecturally magnificent temples, monuments and shrines; and left millions’ hopes shattered. Nepalese once again bravely withstood in this calamity and saved lives of several thousands and are working together in the rebuilding process. We urge you all to visit our country, observe and be a part of our dreams of building a better Nepal, “We shall rise again”.

We are eager to welcome you in Nepal in 2016 and we ensure you to make your visit to Nepal a memorable event.

NEPAL AT A GLANCE

nePaLWedged between the high wall of the Himalaya and the steamy jungles of the indian plains, nepal is a land of snow peaks and Sherpas, yaks and yetis, monasteries and mantras. ever since nepal first opened its borders to outsiders in the 1950s, this tiny mountain nation has had an irresistible mystical allure for travelers. today, legions of trekkers are drawn to the Himalaya’s most iconic and accessible hiking, some of the world’s best, with rugged trails to everest, the annapurnas and beyond. nowhere else can you trek for days or even weeks in incredible mountain scenery, secure in the knowledge that a hot meal, cozy lodge and warm slice of apple pie await you at the end of the day. nepal is nirvana for mountain lovers.

other travelers are drawn here by the adrenaline rush of rafting down a roaring nepali river or bungee jumping into a bottomless Himalayan gorge. Canyoning, climbing, kayaking, paragliding and mountain biking all offer a rush against the backdrop of some of the world’s most dramatic landscapes. there are few countries in the world that are as well set up for independent travel as nepal. Wandering the trekking shops, bakeries and pizzerias of thamel and pokhara, it’s easy to feel that you have somehow landed in a kind of backpacker Disneyland. out in the countryside lies a quite different nepal, where traditional mountain life continues stoically and at a slower pace, and a million potential adventures glimmer on the mountain horizons.nepal Standard time: 5hours and 45minutes ahead of gmt.
