Personnel all across Africa is expected to aend theconference thus giving a major opportunity foracademics, water praconers, policymakers, sciensts, civil society and government officials to discuss thedirecon that Africa`s science community should take inorder to solve numerous challenges affecng our watersystem in real me, and develop new froners forinnovave soluons.
To understand water security challenges, we mustmutually recognise exposure to climate andenvironment driven hazards, as well as socio-economicdeterminants, and the cultural and polical contextwithin which we live in.

<Workshop 1> Growth Opportunities in Africa Non-revenueWater (NRW) Smart Leak Management
Non-revenue water loss across Africa is esmated toaccount for billions of Rand annually and there is arenewed urgency to address leakage in pipelines.Digital transformaon in water ulies is resulng in thedeployment of analyc plaorms for event and assetmanagement. Mulple soluons, including both invasive(Smart Ball) and non-invasive (acousc) sensors for leakdetecon, are seamlessly integrated into a singleplaorm for leakage management. Water uliesdemand accuracy and immediate results to facilitateurgent redressal and reduce non-revenue water losses.
