July Fourth Weekend @ ORG WOW! What an incredible weekend we had celebrating the Fourth of July here at ORG! There was Family, Food, and Fun galore. This Special Edition of “The Bear Facts” newsletter brings to you some of the highlights for your viewing pleasure. We hope you got to join in on the festivities and enjoyed our beautiful park for the holiday. But, if you didn’t make it, mark your calendar now so you won’t miss it next year.

Fishing Tournament 18 people signed up and fished in our tournament this year. Jeff Rosson hosted.

1st Place: Jack Webb with 8.5 inch bass

2nd Place: Hunter Lowery with biggest Bluegill at 9.75 inches.

3rd Place: Hunter Lowery with most fish caught at 9 fish.

Taco Night Who doesn’t love tacos? Meal included chips and salsa, 2 hard tacos (choice of chicken or beef), rice and beans, dessert, and a drink. The night was made complete with the appearance of “Taco Man”!

Cornhole Tournament Corn hole partner showdown by the pool. X sets of partners entered the tournament. Fun time was had by all. And the winners are:

Cart/Bike Parade What an amazing turnout! We had over 40 participants who decorated carts/bikes and paraded through our park. We were led by the Auxiliary, Pittman Fire Department, and Smoky Mountain Miniseries. The parade was complete with sirens and CANDY 🍭 🍬.

1st Place Bike: Sophia Taylor, the highlight of the parade!

Honorable Mention Bike: Luke Taylor, did such a good job too and such a great brother not letting his sister ride alone 😊

BBQ Cookout BBQ and hotdogs cookout with potluck sides and desserts. Yum 😋

Firewater Junction Firewater Junction performed a red hot bluegrass show! This was the first time these guys have gotten together and played for folks

since C-19 has put a halt to live shows in theatres. The band set up in the pool area and people gathered in all areas to listen to the toe tapping music.

Mini-Golf Tournament Last but not least was our 18 hole miniature golf tournament. Winners of the children’s competition were Talen Pashley and Jake.

Clint Williams won the adult competition and now holds the current record for coarse. He shot 49 on 18 holes. Par for 18 is 54, so he was 5 under!

Thank You!!!!! It takes many hands to put together a weekend as spectacular as this was. EXTREME gratitude goes out to all of the following for making this such an amazing weekend. Please forgive us if we missed someone.
