Standards for All Grades 35% of total calories from fat

10% of calories from saturated fat

.5 grams trans fat

35% sugar by weight except fruits and vegetables

Calorie Standards by Grade Level Elementary 150 calories

Middle School 180 calories

High School 200 calories

Exemptions Only specific products listed in the law Must meet all other standards to qualify Foods of Minimal Nutrition may not sold

Sodas - sweetened or unsweetened, jellies and gums, marshmallows and fondants, licorice, spun candy and candy coated popcorn
