Ground Already Gained - OAKS Braille Item Pools Identified:

Primarily short, linear items that can be accessed using Refreshable Braille Display or portable Braille embosser

Items in Braille Pool will also be available to general student population

Ground Already Gained - Big Picture for Test Delivery Format:

Text-to-speech through a screen reader, plus

Short, linear items accessible through either Refreshable Braille Display or Portable Braille Embosser, plus

Supplemental fixed form test of pre-embossed spatial/tactile items or innovative technology solution

Remaining Questions: Presentation of Math items in Nemeth

using supported technologies

Process for developing and reviewing Braille transcriptions for accuracy
