Kristi was nervous as she walked into the All-Stars Fitness Centre.

She didn’t like sport at all, but her friends, Nella and Liam,

wanted her to try their aerobics class.Mr Swan jogged to the front of the room and stood on a low stage.

“Hi, everyone!” he called. “I have some exciting news.

We are going to perform a routine at the Fit and Fun Fair next month.

I’ll be choosing the team next week.”“I want to be in that!” Liam whispered to Kristi.Kristi smiled weakly. I don’t, she thought.

The music started, and the children began marching

and then stepping from side to side. They were copying Mr Swan’s moves.

“See, you can do it, Kristi!” said Nella.Suddenly, everyone took several steps to the left,

and back again to the right. Then they twirled around on the spot.

Kristi tried to keep up, but when the rest of the class went one way,

she went the other way by mistake.

As the day of the fair approached, some of the children couldn’t come to the last practice.

They had bad colds.On the morning of the fair, Mr Swan phoned.“Kristi,” said Mum. “You’re going to be in the team today!”

At the fair, Kristi was given her team t-shirt.

It had a big purple star on the front. She felt very excited and proud of herself as she walked onto the stage.

Their routine was a huge success! The crowd clapped and cheered.

As the children walked off the stage, a reporter came over to them.

“What an amazing performance!” she said. “We just filmed your routine.”

“Wow! We’ll be TV stars!” said Liam.“Yes, the Fitness All-Stars!” said Kristi.“Oh, that’s a good name!” said the reporter, writing in her notebook.

“Be sure to watch the news tonight!”
