Topic : Belanda Depok
● Interesting topic, reality history● Location in Depok city● The communities of Belanda Depok are still exist● We can still found some of the relics of Belanda Depok,
and the buildings that remain from that era.● There are still some undercover stories about Belanda
Depok.

Interviewee: Mr. Otto Leander
● He is one of the important persons of belanda depok.
● He is a pure heir of belanda depok. He is from clan Leander (one of 12 clans).
● He is a committee of belanda depok organization (YLCC).
Project Information (3)
Type of Oral History : Oral life story, because the interview will focused on his life experiences as a Belanda Depok.
Equipments : camera, video camera, sound recorder, tripod
Meeting point : at Restauran Soto, Kartini street, Depok (3pm – 6pm) on 1 November 2012 (based on appointment)
Interview + Site visit time : about 3.30pm – 6.00 pm.

25-30 October 2012. We did literature research about belanda depok from :
● Book : Gedoran Depok, by Wenri Wanhar published by Sadar Media, 2011.
● Television program kampung kita from Elshinta TV Station.
● Internet.

31 Oktober 2012. We discussed about objections, targets, interview process and make appointment with Mr. Otto Leander, arrange the questionnaire and define jobs desc to our group members, ask for Mr. Leander’s permission for interview.

1 November 2012:
● Meet Mr. Otto Leander.● Asked for Mr. Leander’s permission to record and take
pictures for academic purpose● Get permission : to release his name and his story for
the presentation● interviewing process (about 2 hours)● taking pictures when site visit: parliament building,
state court, church, and the first electricity pole in depok

19 November 2012. We discuss the final project and group presentation:
● Share the voice recording for each group members● Define form of report (transcript and group presentation
method)● Personal jobs● Compile the pictures of Mr. Otto Leander and the
relics and buildings that remain from Belanda depok

Difficulties
● To synchronize the vision, mission, and objective among the team members
● To specify the place and time to meet the interviewee● To Avoiding noise around the site interview (the
meeting point was in the restaurant and the rain was so heavy)
● Less systematic interview process because it's the first time for our group, and answers from interviewee less focused
● We felt hesitate to interrupt the interviewee to focus.
