The Project

The Project

• In April of 2011 Emdeon kicked off a a project to enhance their existing financial systems which included the following:

• Hyperion Upgrade to 11.1.2.1 (Essbase / FDQM)

• Installation of a dedicated development environment

• Optimization of 400 GB Essbase Block Storage Database

• Oracle Identity Manager for user sign-ins

• Source data from Oracle EBS by leveraging Financial Data Quality Management ERP Integration Adaptor for Oracle Applications

• Actuals Processing Time (2+ hours) • Heavy involvement from IT to support the data load process • Batch overnight schedule • Daily loads would prevent users from using system • Very large block storage Essbase cube (400 GB for 6 years) • Essbase Native Directory for user sign-ins. • Mapping of EBS to Essbase was managed by SQL statements (updates/inserts)
