The new optic edge was developed to meet all safety requirements, provided by the European

Standards currently in force.

It allows to realise installations in compliance with:

EN 12445EN 12453

Classified as safety device CLASS 2 in compliance with EN 12978

“OPTIC EDGE” is not merely a sensitive device on the movable leaf edge; in fact, it houses an

infrared photocell transmitter that, coupled with a receiver on pillar, also acts as an additional

protective device on the gate transit area (Device C+D EN 12453)

All photocells TX and RX in the edge are powered by AA lithium batteries (minimum operating life: 2

years) without the need of any wiring.
