Works of art, merchandise andarchitectural details are effectivelyaccentuated with Optec Basic spot-lights. The ideal angle of tilt (y)for this is around 30°. The objectis modelled without distorting theeffect as a result of excessive shad-owing. It also prevents shadowscast by the observer.

For uniform vertical lighting, thedistance to the wall (a) of OptecBasic lens wallwashers shouldbe around one third of the roomheight (h). This results in an angleof tilt (a) of approx. 35°.

For good longitudinal uniformity,the spacing (d) of Optec Basic lenswallwashers may be up to 1.2 timesthe distance to the wall (a).
