Loving God, we're so thankful for the friends you've given us and for the chance to begin to know and love our neighbors. We thank you for Mary, Whitney, Cisco, Dovie, Amanda, Con-nie, and all the others whom your Spirit is draw-ing close. We thank you that your Spirit is also at work in the hearts of all who serve you in this church, drawing us even closer together and strengthening our bonds of love. It's so exciting to watch you at work! Please continue to open doors that we may walk through them, bringing your love and care to others. We thank you for this privilege, in Jesus' name. Amen.

Goodness & Groceries Ministry
Our Goodness and Groceries Ministry meets on Wednesday evenings at 5:00 p.m. We are con-tinuing our partnership with Food Depot, Cotton Indian Elementary, Smith Barnes Elementary, and Stockbridge Middle School to ensure no child goes hungry on the weekends. And now we’re also part-nering with Dutchtown Middle School! If you are looking for a way to serve God by serving others, please join us in the Fellowship Hall.

Sailboat Retreat
No one will want to miss out on a wonderful day of car-ing and sharing with our church family, while renewing our relationship with the Holy Spirit. A registration sheet is in the narthex for all of you to sign up for the "Sailboat Retreat" on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 9:00 AM until 4:00 p.m. We need to know how many will be joining us for the delicious lunch being prepared. Just think no cost, no preparations, just fun. For those of you who enjoyed our Maundy Thursday dinner and sharing, you will be even more surprised with our retreat. For those of you who could not be with us for Maundy Thursday, don't miss this one. We would love to see each and every member there.
The General Election is fast approaching and we will again be offering coffee, muffins, and a friendly handshake to the individuals who vote at the church. If you have a free 2 hours on Tuesday, November 8 and would like to “man” the muffin ta-ble and/or can bake some muffins, please add your name to the sign up sheet in the Narthex.
