Description of LO Evaluation type

Defense Report

Acquire notions of combat aircraft architecture * *

Understand the multiple design constraints inherent in the design of a combat aircraft

* *

Perform the pre-sizing of a combat aircraft from a set of performance specifications and understand the sensitivity of the aircraft to the specifications

* *

Carry out the pre-project design (dimensioning, layout, mass estimate and balance) of a combat aircraft

* *

Use CATIA software on the basis of an existing parameterized model *

Estimate aerodynamic basics from aircraft geometry and flight conditions * *

Calculate the instantaneous and mission performance of the aircraft * *

Predict the impact of design choices on aircraft performance * *

Organize team work * *

MSMAE5PR04 - Study/ Design Project - LAUNCHER

Type : Module Elective

Period : Fall semester / Sept 2020-Jan 2021

Teaching Language : French

Hourly volume : 43 hours

Prerequisite :

Course in Space Mechanics; GNC courses; Solid and liquid rocket propulsion course; Knowledge of CATIA and

SIMULINK software

Course summary :

The objective of this course is to give the student the keys to understand the digital factory, what it really is, its

challenges, its technologies, its place and its relationship with man.

Beyond the concepts, it will therefore be on the basis of concrete examples to understand the different building

blocks of the digital factory to help the future engineer to use / understand them at best.
