Maffra & District Community Bank® Branch January 2016 Opening Day 28 May 2015. It is hard to believe we have now been open for six months and what a busy six months it has been! Our opening day was a big hit, the Maffra Municipal Band play, Mayor Carolyn Crossley attended as a guest speaker and to cut the ribbon with our Chairman Neil Armistead, and it wouldn’t be a grand opening without a cake! It also marked the day the Maffra & District Community Bank® Branch became the parent branch of the Stratford Agency. Donations were given to Maffra Primary School, St Marys Primary School Maffra, Boisdale Consolidated School, Briagolong Primary School, Stratford Primary School, St Patricks Primary School Stratford, Queen Street Kindergarten and Glassford Street Kindergarten. It was a great morning had by all. Since the opening our staff have gone through more and more training. We have recently had Meg Knobel start. Meg has worked hard to get through her training to be a valuable member of our team. Sponsorship cheques have been presented to Maffra Bowls Club, Maffra Golf Club, Maffra Basketball Club, Stratford Football Netball Club, Boisdale Hall Committee and Maffra Secondary College to go towards their Divers Ed Program and their Human Powered Vehicle (HPV) Program. Our mural, which is displayed in the branch, sparks a lot of conversation from customers. Opening Day 28 May 2015.It is hard to believe we have now been open for six months and what a busy six months it has been!

Donations were

given to Maffra Primary School, St Marys Primary School Maffra, Boisdale Consolidated School, Briagolong Primary School, Stratford Primary School, St Patricks Primary School Stratford, Queen Street Kindergarten and Glassford Street Kindergarten. It was a great morning had by all.

Since the opening our staff have gone through more and more training. We have recently had Meg Knobel start. Meg has worked hard to get through her training to be a valuable member of our team.

Maffra & District Community Bank® Branch have continued with our sponsorship or donations to various clubs, sporting groups and schools.

The photograph was taken in 1915 which shows the previous post office (which has since been destroyed and re-built) and the court house (which today is used as the Visitor Information Centre). We cannot exactly confirm who the people in the photo are although the vehicle in the picture has been identified. The vehicle is a 1911 FN Roadster which was owned by Steve Ashton, an architect and father of Stuart Ashton. The picture gives a very good impression on what Maffra used to look like!
