History
The plant begins producing plastic products. A plastic shop floor with upright molding
machines, automatic molding machines and hydraulic presses, is established at the plant.
In the same year, the plant masters the production of loudspeakers
It was established in Gomel as a cooperative association ‘Metallobytremont’ with repair
shops for kerosene stoves, bicycles, and watches. The total number of employees is
about 100 people
The company is included into the List for privatization by the National Agency of
Investment and Privatization
The cooperative association is reorganized into the plant of metal consumer products
The plant is transformed and renamed into the Open Joint Stock Company ‘Medplast’
Leased enterprise "Gomel plant of plastic products," transformed into OJSC
"Gomelplast" (order of the Gomel Regional Committee of State Property on October 27,
1999 № 167)

Investment projects
The OJSC “Medplast” continues to implement the investment project “Reconstruction of the general
purpose radio equipment shop floor arranging for production of medical polymers”. The project was
developed by the Republican Unitary Enterprise “Medico-Biological Institute” (RUE “MBI”).
The aim of the project is to provide for import-substituting production of single-use injection
syringes of 2, 5, 10 and 20 ml. The cost of the project is

molding machines for production of syringes of 2 and 5 ml, additional rooms for technical
equipment on the 1st floor.

the 4th floor for the production of syringes of 10 and 20ml.

The reconstruction of the existing building of warehouses and the construction site into a

oxide, the reconstruction of the transport passage, the connection of facilities to the
engineering network, reconstruction of the sewerage network, the reconstruction of off-site
electrical networks, the connection of the gas network to the process equipment,
landscaping in the area of the work.
