OP-COM 081016 installation and activation:

1) Create a new folder DPinst

2) Copy the installation CD contents into DPinst

Plug one end of the cable into the scanner interface, then plug the USB end into your PC.

The PC may ask you to install the USB driver. Browse to: OPCOM081016_ENDriver

3) Execute the [Activator.exe] file from the folder…………….

‘Before the firmware upgrade using/OPCOM081016_EN//OPCOM081016_EN/Activate/Activate’

4) Click “Diagnostics”->Double click “AUTOMATIC VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION”->Click “KWP-2000” or “CAN”.

5) A new window will appear with a red number in it (note! this is NOT the number you need!)

6) Click “Activate” where a small window will appear with an activation code number. Make a note of this activation number.

7) Close all the windows and exit the Ops Com software.

8) Re open the software OP-COM.exe located in

‘Before the firmware upgrade using/OPCOM081016_EN//OPCOM081016_EN/Activate/Activate’

9) Click “Diagnostics”->Double click “AUTOMATIC VEHICLE IDENTIFICATION”->Click “KWP-2000” or “CAN”

10) Enter the activation number in the bottom of the screen where it says: “Please write your activation number here”, then click “Activate”.

11) Click “Settings”->”A test interface”, will appear:

12)Press [Save Config] button, then press the [Apply Settings] button

13)The installation process is now complete. Close all windows.

14)NOW connect the OPCOM scanner INTERFACE TO THE CAR

15)Execute the file [OP-Com.exe] from the folder…………….‘Before the firmware upgrade using/OPCOM081016_EN//OPCOM081016_EN/’

16)Press Error codes to view ECU database
