Dr O.P. Agarwal is an Executive Director at the Indian School of Business based at its camwhere he heads its Institute of Infrastructure Management. From December 2009 to Junworking as a Senior Urban Transport Specialist and Urban Transport Adviser to the WorWashington DC, where his responsibilities were to advise urban transport projects and pacross all regions.

From July 1979 to August 2007, he was a member of the Indian Administrative Service (Iseveral positions, both under the national government and the Government of Assam. Oas the head of the Urban Transport division of the Government of India, first from April

and then from April 2005 to October 2006. During this, he authored the National Urban for the country. He was also the Joint Secretary heading the Training Division of the GovIndias Dept of Personnel during which he worked closely with IIM Bangalore in setting Public Policy at IIMB.

He has a PhD from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, a Masters degree in Transthe Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, USA and a Bachelors degree in EEngineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
