2015 PREP LIBRARY BAGSEach year the Department gives every prep student attending a Victorian government school a library bag packed with goodies to make the start of school a little easier. In 2015, things will be a little bit different.

The Department has partnered with Melbourne bag brand Crumpler to provide a brand new library bag, specially designed for preps (please see logo below). While the design is still under wraps, it's fair to say it will look nothing like the bags of the past. There are lots of surprises inside the bag too, including a special bookmark to encourage each student to sign up for the Victorian Premiers' Reading Challenge, and kickstart their lifelong love of reading. The bags will be arriving at schools in the lead-up to the first day of Term 1, 2015.

Have a good week,

Jeff, Helen and Randal.

MVIMP CONCERTCongratulations to all the students who performed at our Combined Concert at Moonee Valley last Wednesday night. Your performances were fantastic and you should feel very proud! It was a pleasure to have the students parents and friends there as an audience as well – thank you to those who supported each other through watching and listening to the performances.

A special CONGRATULATIONS to Luka M, who received the Achievement Award for MPW. This award recognises a student who has an outstanding attitude to their music, who has really put in that extra effort to continually get better in their playing, been reliable and responsible, and tried their best. It was difficult to choose from a number of fantastic Grade 6 students, but Luka really deserves the award. Well done!

Thank you so much to all who attended, and a special thank you to all the family members who helped through supervising rehearsals and making up hampers. Your time and efforts are very much appreciated.
