Open doors to leadershipThe U.S. is facing a shortage of as many as 90,000 physicians, according to a 2015 study by the Association of American Medical Colleges. Advanced practice nurses with the ability and credentials to lead are instrumental in solving this crisis.
Career satisfactionAccording to the 2013 Survey of Nurse Practitioners: Practice Trends and Perspectives, 100% of respondents said they have positive feelings about being a nurse practitioner and 99% felt optimistic about the future of the field.
Bright futures aheadThe U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a growth of 31% in nurse practitioner roles from 2014 to 2024, partly due to the growing percentage of newly insured patients and our rapidly aging population.
