ONLINE GOOD PRACTICE WORKSHOP ASSESSMENT OF RESOURCE EFFICIENCY AND CLIMATE 28-29 SEPTEMBER 2020 ONLINE BACKGROUND The ENRD Evaluation Helpdesk is pleased to invite you to the Good Practice Workshop, ‘Assessment of resource efficiency and climate'. Due to the continuing COVID-19 situation this workshop will be conducted as a web-based participatory workshop on 28-29 September 2020. RDP interventions play an important role in contributing to the preservation and improvement of the environment and combating climate change. Issues identified in the Annual Implementation Reports (AIR) submitted in 2019 that relate to resource efficiency and climate merit further attention and discussion in view of the ex post evaluation and also the CAP post-2020. These include issues related to the assessment of efficiency in energy use, supply and use of renewable energy sources and GHG and ammonia emissions. Working language will be English. Registration closes on 14 September 2020 https://enrd.ec.europa.eu/eval- uation/good-practice-work- shops/assessment-resource-e fficiency-and-climate_en OBJECTIVES The Good Practice Workshop (GPW) No 14 has the overall objective to reflect on experiences in relation to the assessment of resource efficiency and climate, with a view to preparing the ex post evaluation of RDPs 2014-2020 and helping to identify lessons for the related future CAP indicators. The specific objectives are: Exchange practices on how to assess resource efficiency and climate, notably energy efficiency, the supply and use of renewable energy sources and GHG and ammonia emissions. Resolve specific issues identified for the evaluation of resource efficiency and climate, in relation to the calculation of the complementary result indicators. Identify needs for further support for Managing Authorities and evaluators in relation to the above issues for preparing the ex post evaluations and building knowledge for the calculation of related future CAP indicators. TARGET AUDIENCE The main target group of the online workshop will be Managing Authorities. Paying agencies, evaluators, researchers and EU level research services (e.g. JRC) and other evaluation stakeholders in the Member States as well as EU level evaluation and climate experts may also participate. In order to ensure a participatory approach, the participant number will be limited to 60 people.
