Here we are conducting online examination which is based on online computer system.

Introduction

• Online examination system refers to service as conduct online examination or test. Online examination system will use in schools, colleges, universities, institutes for students examination . Online course examinations are useful to evaluate the students knowledge using modern computer technology without any effects on the traditional university course exam that uses pens, papers invigilators.

Problem Definition• Today have the problem for going to far away Exam

Centre. • Students need to wait for their results. • Examiner are not able to maintain the student record

in large quantity.• Manipulation of student record is difficult for

examiners . • And another problem of sending question paper from

one place to another place.

• And have a problem of change the choice of option which is not possible in paper .

• And have the problem of leaking the paper before examination but this problem will not born in online examination system.

Problem Solution

• We introduce our project to conduct exam easily by online computer system and reducing paper work.

• We provide user id and password. The id password is unique so its data will be secured.

• Admin can upload the question paper .• Admin can change the profile of student.

Tools and Technology used

• Tools - • Aptana studio3 - It is a editor for php coding .• Wamp server - WampServer is a Windows web

development environment. It allows you to create web applications with Apache, PHP and the MySQL database. It also comes with PHPMyAdmin to easily manage your databases. WampServer installs automatically (installer), and its usage is very intuitive.

• Technology - • PHP (language) - PHP(Hypertext Preprocessor) is a

widely-used open source general-purpose scripting language that is especially suited for web development and can be embedded into HTML

• Mysql - Mysql (database) is a open source database. MySQL is the most popular database system used

with PHP.

Front end technology:-

1.HTML:- html is used to create and save web document. Example- notepad, notepad++.

2.CSS:-(cascading style sheets) create attractive layout and for affective designs.

3.JavaScrit:-It is a programming language , commonly use with web browsers.

Hardware requirement :- Basic computer system.

Back end technology:-

1.PHP:-Hypertext preprocessor (php) is a technology that allows software developers to create a dynamically generated web pages , in html, Xml or other document types ,as per client request.

2.Mysql:- Mysql is a database, widely used for accessing querying, updating and managing data in databases.

Software Requirement:- (Any one)• WAMP Server• XAMP Server

This project will complete in two module which are as follow:-

Admin Aspects

• Taking back up of the database.• Editing/deleting/creating the database.• Changing the password.• Logging into the system. • Posting question in the above test.• Give notification about examination date.• View a particular student and delete the student.• Show result of examination.

Student Aspects

• Read the instruction of accessing this site. • Request for registration.• See the notification for Test.• Logging into the system.• Appear the Test or Exam.• Find result at the end of exam

Home Page:- In home page available login section option in main

menu for log to admin and student.

Admin login:- This is admin login page . If admin will enter right user id

and password then here will open a new window “admin task”.

Admin task:- This is a admin task window here given all task of

admin as view student, student list, delete student etc.

1. View Student:-This option uses for view the profile of particular student via user ID of student.

2. Student List:-This option uses for view the list of all registered students.

3.Delete Student:- This option uses for delete profile of a particular student from student lists.

4.Notification:- This option uses for upload the notification on webpage for exam date.

5.Question Paper:- This option uses for upload the question paper on webpage.

Student Registration:-

This registration form is available for all students for registering themselves via fill all requirement.

Student Login:-

This is student login page . If user will enter right user id and password then here will open a new window for exam.

Start Exam :-

In this window given a option “START EXAM” so student will click on this option for start the exam.

Exam:-• In this web page given question and options which will

submitted by student and after examination show the result.

Result Window:-• Here displaying the number of true questions and

percentage.

Merits of online examination project

• Here can conduct all type of exams.• General problem with time for students.• Auto grading.• Flexible.• Time saver.• Security.• The logs of appeared students and their marks are

stored in database for future use.• Result will be very precise and accurate.

• Result will automatically generated by the server.• Administrator has a privilege to create, modify and

delete the test.• User can register, login and give the test with his/her

specific id, and password.• Student can see the result immediately after

examination. • Avoid the paper work.

Conclusion

• This web application provides facility to conduct online examination worldwide. It saves time as it allow number of students to give the exams at a time and displays the results as the test gets over so no need to wait for the result it is automatically generated by server.

• Administrator has to create, modify, deletion, and provide the log in ID and Password to all students.
