PAAM'S 28TH ANNUAL GENERAL MEETINGThe 28th AGM of PMM was held in PMM's officeaI52A Jalan 22/25 Damansara Jaya on 28th April2013. However due to no quorum, it was adjournedto the 19th of May, 2013. Based on members'feedback who were present on 28th April, 2013it was indicated to the Central Committee thatmembers would prefer to hold the AGM at anavenue outside PMM oremises. The Committeeafter some deliberations in their subsequent boardmeeting, decided to hold the adjourned AGM atSunway Lagoon Club.

The adjourned AGM was convened on 19th May2O1 3 at 2.OOpm. A buffet lunch was served prior to thesaid adjourned AGM. Despite holding the adjournedAGM outside PMM's premises as suggested bymembers in the eadier AGM convened on 28th Aoril2O'13, at 2.OOpm on the AGM day, there was againno quorum with only 22 members present. However

as permitted by PMMs constitution, the meetingproceeded as specified in the Agenda ie passing ofminutes of previous AGM and EGM, approval of theAnnual Reoort for 2012 and audited accounts for2012.

Amongst some suggestions raised from the floorwere: PMM Constitution should be dated to ensurethat the latest version is used and printing costsshould be cut down by confining black and whitehardcopies of the newsletters for members andkeeping colour copies for circulation to importantagencies such as HIDA, Japan Embassy etc.

There being no other matters, the meeting adjournedat 3 pm followed by a short talk that was facilitatedby Mr Stephen Wong, PAAM member who deliveredan interesting subject - Effective interaction throughvisual, auditory and kinesthetic capability.

simplest way of making a kite. Everybody madetheir own kite and was running around the housecompound and the narrow bank of the padi field, trying to fly their kites. Some kites managed to flybut some did not but most of them took their kiteshome, perhaps to fly them later.

The final activity catching fish in the padi field usinga traditional method called " gagau ikan". How itwas done I do not know because the hot afternoonbreeze and a pillow provided by the Host was aperfect combination for a good afternoon nap. When I woke up, the adults and the kids in wettheir clothing carrying fishes that they caught in thePadi field.

Their smiles and giggles told the whole world whata wondedul time they had, which I dearly missedwhen I traded the fun for a shorl nao.

4.00 pm was time to bid "goodbye" to our Hostsand thanking them for the wonderful time we spentwhich we will cherish for a long time. After a cupof "tea-O bujang" and "cha kuey", we huddledtogether for a parting group photograph, beforeboarding the bus for home. I continued my napthroughout the journey home and only woke upwhen we reached PAAM office in Damansara Jayaat 7:00pm. lt was a day well spent and for mostof all it was another nice opportunity to get toknow one another one a personal basis. lt is theOrganisers' hope that more PAAM members willjoin us for another PAAM Family Outing sometimein the very near future.
