Read the eBook Hide-a-Saurus and then try the different exercises below. • Imagine you are leaping across stepping-stones like the dinosaur in the cave. • Take off from one foot and land on the other. • How far can you leap? • Perhaps you can lay out some objects and make your own stepping-stones? • Imagine you are climbing up some steep cliffs. • Reach up with one hand and the opposite leg and then the other hand and opposite leg as quickly as you can. Try doing it for 20 seconds. • Have a rest and then repeat. • Move around the space on your tiptoes. • Can you tiptoe slowly? Can you tiptoe quickly? • Try taking lots of little steps on your tiptoes and then taking big steps! One excited dinosaur is creeping through the caves. • Start by squatting down.• Now, push off the ground with

your feet and explode up like a volcano erupting!

• Try making different shapes in the air.• How high can you jump?

• Can you stretch up as tall as a tree?• Now, try the tree pose in yoga by taking

one leg off the ground and placing it on the inside of your other leg.

• How long can you balance like this for?• Make sure you swap legs and repeat!

• Imagine you are swimming in the sea.• Practise the different swimming strokes

with your arms.• Try:

- front crawl - backstroke - breaststroke - butterfly

• You could try doing each one as fast as you can for ten seconds.

Five excited dinosaurs are searching in the sea.

Six excited dinosaurs are venturing round the volcano.

• Start by stomping on the spot. • Now, move forwards while stomping.• Can you stomp backwards?• Add some arms movements and a

scary dinosaur growl!

• Crawl through the grass, staying as low to the ground as possible so as not to be seen!

• How far can you travel in this way?• Try having a crawling race with a

family member.

• Imagine you are splashing in the swamp.• Make a big splash by jumping up and

down in the water. • Make sure you take off and land with two

feet. Try jumping up and down ten times.• Now, try hopping up and down in the

water. Can you hop on one foot ten times and then the other foot ten times?

Now do all the exercises again!

Eight excited dinosaurs are splashing in the swamp.

Ten excited dinosaurs all want to play again.

Nine excited dinosaurs are stomping on the sand.
