TRANSCRIPT
Hosted by TA Instruments and Clemson University International Center for Automotive Research.
This seminar will focus on developing a more complete understanding of rubber testing. Rheological, mechanical, and thermal analytical techniques will be the primary focus of this one-day seminar. Techniques discussed: Mooney Viscometer (MV), Moving Die Rheometer (MDR), Rubber Process Analyzer (RPA), Oscillating Die Rheometer (ODR), Dynamic Mechanical Analysis (DMA), Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC), Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA), and Mass Spectrometry (MS).
Topics Covered:
• Polymer Characterization• Compound Processability• Vulcanization Testing• Mechanical Properties• Thermal Analysis Characterization – DSC, TGA, and MS
Guest Speakers:
• Henri Burhin – Global polymer processing consultant, formerly of Alpha Technologies/Monsanto Instrument/Dynisco
• Sarah Cotts – TA Instruments lead Rubber applications specialist• Dr. Charles Potter – TA Instruments senior thermal analysis applications scientist
Don’t miss the LIVE demonstration of the world’s most advanced Rubber Processing Analyzer (RPA) also during this seminar. You are encouraged
to bring samples for testing during the seminar or afterwards.
