SKIN AND BONES NEWSLETTER Volume 1 / Issue 1 By, Kenneth Oms

Welcome

We would like to welcome our followers to the first issue of our newsletter. We here at Skin And Bones would like to take the time to thank our community: for showing a growing interest in all things related to our company, and for supporting our passion in the art of Taxidermy.

Who is Skin And Bones?

Skin And Bones is a St. Cloud based Taxidermy company founded by Kenneth Oms and Lauren Ann Low. Besides preparing, stuffing, and mounting animals, Skin And Bones also cleans, prepares, and mounts animal bones to recreate full skeletons.

Q: What kind of animals does the company prefer? A: We clean, prepare, and recreate all kinds of animals ranging from: mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians.

Q: Where does the company get its material from? A: While Skin And Bones does have certain pieces on display, they were donated to us by supporters so that they could be re-created, and displayed as a testament to our skill in the craft. Our company is customer based; meaning that our pieces are solicited from a variety of people: hunters, hobbyists, fisherman, and even pet owners.

Lauren Ann Low

WHAT IS TAXIDERMY?

Taxidermy, as defined by

the Oxford dictionary, is

the art of preparing,

stuffing, and mounting the

skins of animals with

lifelike effects.

The art’s roots have been

traced all the way to

ancient Egypt. Where

several mummies have

been found with embalmed

animals.

Where We Want To Go Our goal as a company is to provide our customers with the perfect product. We want to assure you that our recreations are as life like as possible, and that we treat them with utmost care.

We would like to expand our services, and attempt large scale taxidermy. What this means is that our company would offer its services to Wildlife Services, Museums, and businesses that cater to legal hunting. We hope to accomplish this goal by earning a reputation through our services.

What We Need In order for our company to grow, and for us to accomplish our goal; we need you, our community, to show off our work. We ask that you upload photos of our work, write reviews for our business online, and recommend us to family and friends.

Thank You

Finally, we want to say thank you to everyone in our community. Without your support, we would not be able to practice our craft, so from the bottom of our hearts: thank you.
