1.0 INTRODUCTION

The Gardens Mall is a mixed development in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. A 6-level

shopping complex haven renowned for its value guest philosophy first. With the high level

of hospitality by our Concierge services and retail partners, guests can expect an idyllic

garden backdrop and exciting array of merchandise.. It is the second phase of Mid Valley

City, which also houses the Mid Valley Megamall. The Gardens is a 9.7-acre development

which contains a high-end shopping center and four towers, the first housing a 6-star hotel,

the second are housing residential suites and the remaining two housing office spaces.

The Gardens Malls architecture is inspired by the interpretation of traditional arts and

crafts as well as local flora and fauna. With more than 200 retail boutiques, The Gardens Mall

is residence to numerous international and local brands along with its anchor department

stores Robinsons from Singapore and Isetan of Japan at opposite ends of the mall.

Complementing its stylish fashion and accessories are a tasteful medley of international

cuisine, Cols Storage Supermarket, the latest in IT, mobile and laptop gadgets, a fascinating

collection of home furnishings and arts and much more.

Its a good choice for customer shopping and purchase in The Gardens Mall, include

different type of goods, such as convenience goods, shopping goods, luxury goods.

Entertainment also been provided in The Gardens Mall. Anchor store such as Robinsons from

Singapore and Isetan of Japan at opposite the end of the Mall.

2.0 MAIN FACILITIES

2.1 Safety

The Gardens Mall has a mixture of safety equipment and facilities that ensures the safety of

its customers and brings confidence to their shopping experiences.

2.1.1 CCTV (Closed-circuit Television)

First of all The Gardens Mall has installed many security cameras around their shopping

perimeters so they can watch out for any dangerous acts inside their shopping complex and

also the parking lot. The security cameras can also alert them whenever theres an accident or

trouble within their shopping complex. The security personnel working inside The Gardens

Mall will be alerted immediately and rush to the emergency/accident scene to provide

assistance.

2.1.2 Information Counter

There are two information counters located found on the ground floor (Level G) of The

Gardens Mall. Each strategically located in the main entrance of The Gardens Mall and at theopposite ends of the Mall. This can help the visitors or customers to solve an enquiry as soon

as possible.

2.1.3 Directional Signage

The interactive directory is very user friendly, on a large touch screen. The signages to

elevators, car parks and toilets are specified and clear. It is easy to travel around The Gardens

Mall as the shops are neatly laid out and standing on the aisles shopper can locate their

direction easily.

2.1.4 Toilet & Handicapped Toilet

Toilets are the basic facility that is provided by The Gardens Mal. Approximately 9 toilets

available throughout The Gardens. Customers can found at the South and North Court of

each floor. Its also located at the Centre Court of lower ground floor. Premium toilet which

with the rank of 6-star toilet is provided at North Court ground floor. Handicapped Toilets are

also provided to accommodate handicapped customers. These handicapped toilets are located

near the normal toilets as mentioned before.

2.1.5 Security guards

They have employed many security guards to secure their premises, for example guarding the

entrance of the shopping complex, patrolling the premises for any trouble and they have a

duty to make sure that the customers of The Gardens Mall to feel safe when shopping inside

their shopping complex and prevent any trouble from happening inside there. Their safety

personnel are highly trained and are much disciplined and they always put customers safety

as their top priority.

2.1.5 Sofas and SeatsThere are 4 nice resting sofas provided in The Gardens Mall for the customer to sit and rest

themselves. Sofas are provided in the South and North Court of The Gardens Mall. They also

provided resting seats on every floor. Sofas and seats are placed apart in walking distance so

customers have the convenience rest anytime.

2.1.6 Dustbin

In The Gardens Mall, dustbins are provided in every few walking distance as it provides the

convenience for customers to dispose their rubbish. From Level P2 to Level 4, The Gardens

Mall provides dustbins all around to serve its purpose for letting customers disposing their

rubbish to the dustbins instead of throwing it on the floor. Unlike there are few malls that do

not provide dustbins at visible areas.

2.1.7 Fire Alarms

The Gardens Mall also have fire alarms installed everywhere on their premises and also water

sprinkler that can spray water into the fires to douse them. Fire extinguishers are mounted on

the wall in case of emergency and there are also signs to guide customers to the fire exits in

case of fire in their shopping complex. Their security personnel will also assist the customer

in exiting the premise in case of a fire.

2.1.8 Elevators

There are 15 elevators available at The Gardens Mall. There are 3 elevators each floor. These

15 elevators can be used to travel from the basement parking (Level P1 & P2) right up to the

rooftop. There are elevators located at the North, Centre and South of the mall. It is

connected to their security office and whenever theres a breakdown, the security personnel

will be alerted about it immediately. It is also maintained regularly to ensure that the elevator

will work fine and so that there wont be any trouble with the elevator and refer to picture 4

of an elevator in appendix.

2.1.9 Air-condition

Air-condition are all over The Gardens Mall. As its compulsory for The Gardens Mall to

keep the customers cool, relax and comfortable at all times. Air-condition are provided in The

Gardens Mall from Level P2 to Level 4 and air-condition are always operating from The

Gardens Mall opening time till closing time.

3.0 BASIC FACILITIES

3.1 Baby Stroller

Baby strollers are provided in The Gardens, to carry little children in it while parents and

families move around the mall. The Gardens Mall provides baby strollers at information

counter on Ground Floor of The Gardens Mall.

3.2 Motorized Wheel Chair

Motorized wheel chairs are available for the elderly visitors who are disabled. These

motorized wheel chairs can be found at the information counter which is located on Ground

Floor of The Gardens Mall.

3.3 Nursery Room

The nursery rooms are on the second floor in The Gardens Mall. Nursery rooms are provided

for the parents who have emergencies to provide care for their babies.

4.0 FACILITIES

The Gardens Mall boasts more than 200 retail boutiques on five floors, a 6-star Gardens

Hotel and Gardens residences and two office towers. It's almost a mini city on its own. Look

at map 1 in appendix.

4.1 Stores

Many people flock here to indulge in retail therapy due to its wide variety of outlets ranging

from international brands to independent local stores.

4.2 Fashion

There are over 40 shops for shoppers to shop. Brands such as Boss Hugo Boss, Dockers,

BCBG Maxazria, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Gallo by Thian, A/X Armani Exchange, banana

republic, DKNY, Lacoste, Versace Jeans, Gap Kids, Poney, etc. can be found on the ground

level to the first level.

4.3 Accessories, Bags and Shoes

There are over 20 shops for shoppers to shop for accessories, bags and shoes. Listing out

some of them are Aldo, Braun Buffel, Coach, Fossil, Geox, Hush Puppies, Lewre Couture,

Longchamp and Tods.

4.4 Art Galleries

The Gardens Mall has 2 art galleries shop; Wei-Ling Contemporary and Pipal Fine Art. Wei-

Ling Contemporary is located in G-212Ground Floor of The Gardens Mall. Pipal Fine Art is

located in S-215 Second Floor of The Gardens Mall.

4.5 Jewelry and Timepieces

Diamonds and watches is a girls best friend, so The Gardens has a lot ofjewelers and

timepieces shops to attract most female customers to shop in their mall. There are about 10

jewelers and timepieces shops in The Gardens which are De Gem, Rhapsody, Thomas Sabo,

Sincere Fine Watches, Tag Heuer, etc.

4.6 Gift and Souvenir

The Gardens has a myriad of gifts and souvenir shops and this makes them a perfect one stop

shopping complex for gifts shopping. The Gardens have 3 gifts and souvenir shops which are

Hallmark, Royal Selangor, and Tittot.

4.7 Optical

The Gardens Mall has 4 optical shops and their customers can look for a new piece of

eyewear at one of these shops. All the optical shops in The Gardens are Better Vision,

MARQ Optic Gallery, OptikPeakvision, and Eyecon Optometry Network

4.8 Sports and Outdoor

For those who are athletics or people who like to wear sportswear, there are lots of choices

available in The Gardens such as Adidas, New Balance, Nike, Speedo, Sun Paradise and etc.

4.9 Travel Agency

Reliance Travel is located on fourth floor at The Gardens Mall. This outlet is to cater to

people from overseas to enquiry.

4.10 Wine and Tea

For the shopper who like to drink wine and tea, The Gardens Mall has provided wine and tea

shop in The Gardens Mall which are Bottles & Bottles, located on lower ground floor. Bottles

& Bottles is the shop specializes in wine from worldwide. Hojo is located on third floor, there

is specializes in Japanese Tea, Japanese teapot, cast iron kettle, Taiwanese tea, and Darjeeling

Tea.

4.11 Personal Care and Pharmacy

For shoppers in need of pampering, Cocoon secluded and dedicated area on the Fourth Floor.

It comes complete with spas and wellness clinics, nail salons and a yoga/ fitness center. The

shops are Cress Wellness, Le Sense by Slimming Sanctuary, Madaline Nails & Waxing Salon

by Glitters, mYoga, and etc. There are several personal cares and a pharmacy available at The

Gardens. This is provided to convenient the customers. Examples of personal cares available

include Burts Bees, Dr. Brandt, H2O+, LOccitane En Provence, etc. Shop of the pharmacy

is Vitacare.

4.12 Luggage

If shopper who are going on a trip soon and wishes to purchase luggage they can go to

Rimowa they are a specialty shop, where they provide product ranging from hiking

equipments to luggage. Shoppers can find it here. Planet 1 Degree and Tumi are also

available.

4.13 Beauty and Wellness

The Gardens has a few beauty and hair salons in their mall for their female customers to go

and get their hair groomed and styled after their shopping experiences.There are 3 hair salons

in The Gardens which are Andy Ho Haute Coiffure, Centro Hair Salon, and Raymond Choon.

4.14 Furniture & Furnishings and Home Decoration

Beside apparels shopper can also shop for furniture, if they hope to furnish their new house,

they can get it from many different furniture shops. The shops are Gudang Studio, Linds

Furniture, Pasaya, The Address, Wood one and XTRA. They are a concept store with

lifestyle furniture from across the continents. Beside furniture and furnishings shops, The

Gardens also providing shopper places to look for home decoration product. A good example

is Blomus, they sell premium stainless steel home decoration products. Other than that, there

are iwannagohome! andOvas.

4.15 Bakery and Cafes

These are for people who just want to have light snack or healthy brunch. There are Big

Apple, Bread Story, Dome, espressolab, My Toast, PappaRich, Starbucks and The Coffee

Bean & Tea Leaf for people to choose.There are many snack and desserts shops at The

Gardens such as Gelatissimo, Homi Chicken Curry Puff, Crazy Potato, Jonker Sweets, Mochi

Sweets, Moo Cow Frozen Yogurt, Sticky, and etc.

4.16 Restaurants

There are quite many of restaurants for customers to dine in, relax, and enjoy their time.

Restaurants like Fong Lye Fusion and Tea House, Ying Ker Lou Hakka Cuisine, Hokkaido

Ichiba, Sushi Zanmai,Yuzu Japanese Restaurant, Italiannies, Spice of India, Alexis, T.G.I

Friday, Zouk Caf Bar, and etc.

4.17 Electrical & Communication

For shopper who wishes to purchase electrical and camera devices they can visit Atlas

Experience, Bang & Olufsen, and Foto Flash Besides the shops mentioned, for those who

wishes to purchase from a more specialize store they can visit HTC shop, Machines shop,

Nokia Shop, Samsung Shop, and Sony Centre, where they sell all kind of mobile devices. If

shopper needs to pay their phone, broadband bill or have any problem related to their line

services, they can walk in to The Gardens, as most of the Telco centre have set up here such

as, Digi Centre and Maxis Centre.

4.18 Cocoon

For shoppers in need of pampering, Cocoon secluded and dedicated area on the Fourth Floor.

It comes complete with spas and wellness clinics, nail salons and a yoga/ fitness center. The

4.19 Snack and Desserts

5.0 Entertainment

5.1 GSC SignatureGSC Signature located on fourth floor at The Gardens. GSC Signature is a first premier

boutique cinema. GSC Signature boasts 2 Gold Class Halls and 5 Premiere Class Halls with a

total of 558 seats and a platinum screen experience, and three dining venues. There are Caf

Caro, Restaurant Paradiso, and Dessert Bar.

5.2 Red Box

Red Box Karaoke is located on fourth floor at The Gardens. It boasts state of art audio visual

equipment including giant LCD, TV screens and cordless microphones fitted in each room.

This is a very high ended karaoke center for people to shout their lungs out.

5.3 Kids E World

Kids E World is located on fourth floor at The Gardens Mall. Kids E World is the fun world

where kids learn, play, and enjoy. There is an exciting dream venue to every child, allowing

them to learn quickly and communicate effectively with parents, while having a jolly great

time.

5.4 Clubbing/Night-life

Clubbing/night-life is been provided at The Gardens Mall such as Vertigo and G6 club.

Available for those youngsters that enjoyed their night life, relaxing and having their

beverage (liquor) inside. Help youngster relax themselves inside at Thursday and Fridays

night.

6.0 Services

6.1 Automated Teller Machines

Automated Teller Machines (ATM) are located on third floor at The Gardens Mall. The

ATMs located at North of the mall which nearby the Fong Lye Fusion and Tea House. The

ATMs are making sure the shoppers have enough money to spend in The Gardens Mall.

6.2 Bank

CIMB Bank in The Gardens Mall is located on lower ground floor. CIMB Bank is provided

for the convenience for the shoppers and workers withdraw money, bank in money or to

access the bank services provided.

7.0 Car Park

7.1 Main Parking

The Gardens Mall offers its shoppers plenty of parking for drivers and refers to map 2 and

map 3 in appendix. There are 11,000 car park bays available at both The Gardens and Mid

Valley. There are two floors of basement parking (level P1 and P2) and 3,800 upper levels

parking bay starting from Level 4 up till Level 7.

The basement parking, Zone B is located in the underground levels (level P1 & P2) of The

Gardens Mall which is connected to its main building Mid Valley Megamall. In The GardensMall, the upper ground level parking is divided into two sections which are Zone U (Light

Yellow) and Zone U Premier Parking (Purple). Refer to Table 1 and 2 in appendix for the

fees of the car park in the mall.

7.2 Valet Parking

Valet parking services are also available in The Gardens Mall. Valet counter is located nearthe Gardens Residences on the ground floor (Level G) of The Gardens.

7.3 Auto Pay Station

Auto Pay Stations are placed on every floor where parking is provided to allow customers to

pay their parking tickets. Customer can make their parking ticket payment at those auto pay

stations. Those Auto Pay Stations are located near an entrance/exit to the mall.

8.0 Transportation

8.1 Shutter Bus

The Gardens Mall is provided shuttle service return and back between Mont Kiara to The

Gardens. Besides that, the shutter bus also provided returns and back between Hotel Hilton

Kuala Lumpur and Suasana Sental Loft Condo to The Gardens. Look at table 3 in appendix

for the time, and route of this service for the use of the consumer.

8.2 Taxi and Limousine

Taxi and Limousine bays are available at beside the main entrance of The Gardens Mall on

the ground floor. Taxies and Limousine are available all day round.

8.3 KTM Komuter Station and Putra LRT

The Gardens Mall can easily accessible from Mid Valley Megamall KTM Komuter station,

which is connected to Mid Valley. The link bridge connecting to the KTM Komuter Station

to Mid Valley is located on it is located on Level 1, North Court.

9.0 CONCLUSION

Lastly, The Gardens mall has tons of stores, and lots of food options as well. Parking

does not seem to be a problem here, which is always nice. It has two levels with most of the

stores dip into the upper and lower level. There are also tons of cool stores that surround the

outskirts of the mall. It has such a diverse variety of shops and boutiques which offers

something unique and wonderful for any and every one.

If consumers do not prefer eating mall food, there are tons of restaurants and deli

shops surrounding the mall. This mall has lots of stores that the Town Centre Mall and

customers would enjoy the environment with the great design in The Gardens Mall. Unlike

some of its peers that lose value after time, this mall seems to get bigger and better.

The Gardens Mall is been rank as a 5-star development Shopping Complex within

Mid Valley City. The five components of the property include The Gardens Mall, The

Gardens Hotel, two landmark office towers and The Gardens All Suite Residences. TheGardens Mall is positioned to be a desirable social address providing a range of high-to mid-

market products and services customized to suit their core target market of high income

discretionary spenders
