Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 ZDF coverage

• ZDF will be strongly focusing on the Olympic Summer Games for the full 17 days of the event and will be broadcasting live most of the competitions and their finals.

• Up to 17 hours of live coverage from Tokyo every day starting at around 12:00 midnight until 5:00 p.m.

• Several additional parallel live streams will be broadcasted from different venues and competitions, to support the main programme.

• The Olympic Games have always been one of the most recognized events in the history of German television – also in young target groups.

• Olympic Games always reach the highest level of programme rates in Germany. More than 72% or 54,5 million of all German TV viewers watched the Olympic Summer Games 2016 in Rio at least once on ARD or ZDF (net reach).

• The average programme rate of the Olympics 2016 was 2,57 million TV viewers. And up to 8,55 million at the Beach volleyball Woman's final BRA – GER.

• Across target groups, significantly above-average market share values are achieved.
