The following is a work of fan fiction based on lore established by George Lucas in the

original Star Wars films. Some prequel and expanded universe material have been

incorporated, but only where appropriate to the story.

The intent of this project is not to attack George Lucas vision for the prequels. Im simply

presenting my version of episodes I, II, and III using the back-story he presented in the

original trilogy, and as a testament to the storytelling inspiration and magic of those films.

There was nothing like being a kid when Star Wars was fresh and new. It was a time full

of adventure, excitement, and fun; something Ive worked hard to recapture here.

And now, my alternate vision for the Star Wars prequels

STAR WARS: EPISODE I THE OLD FEAR

For over a thousand generations the Jedi Knights have been the guardians of peace andjustice in the Galactic Republic.

Using their mastery of The Force, a powerful energy field created by all living things, the

Jedi have driven their vile enemies the Sith into near extinction, ensuring freedomthroughout the galaxy.

However, The Republic now faces a deadly new threat, a mysterious band of marauders,

attacking spaceships and terrorizing the stars

Sc.1 A remote corner of the galaxy. A small star cruiser: adrift, alone, silent...save for an

automated distress recording. Repeating. Calling for assistance. Finally, a droid securitypatrol answers that call. Unable to establish communications, the droid troopers board the

seemingly derelict ship. Aboard, in the darkness, the patrol discovers the ship's crew and

passengers. Dead. The ship itself: ransacked. The Droid Patrol Leader begins reporting

their findings to the nearest command post. Suddenly, from the darkness, a band of cloakedfigures appear wielding green lightsabers attack! The last transmission the command post

receives is of the droid patrol being cut down by the ambush. Meanwhile, somewhere on amassive battleship, someone else is monitoring the situation. A cloaked figure contacts the

battleship to inform its commander that their mission is complete. The commander of the

battleship is revealed to be Darth Maul. Maul, a Sith master, wants to be sure the droidswere able to contact their command post before they were destroyed. The figure assures of

this. And Maul is pleased. The Republic will soon learn of the attack.

Sc. 2 The planet Alderaan. Three longtime friends - Obi-Wan Kenobi, a Jedi Knight; BailOrgana, a Republic security official; and Owen Lars, a local farmer - gather at a cantina to

discuss the recent pirating of starships. Bail is certain the Republic will be able to locate

and stop the marauders soon. Owen, however, does not share his optimism. Obi-Wanconfides that the Jedi are meeting with Republic officials to discuss a plan, an idea Owen

likes even less. Overhearing their conversation, a bar patron interrupts, verbally attacking

the Jedi and The Republic for their laziness and ineptitude. While agreeing with the barpatron, Owen comes to the defense of his friends and a brawl erupts between the two,

quickly escalating to involve the patrons friends and Obi-Wan and Bail. The fight is

brought to end with Owen buying everyone a round of drinks and Obi-Wan and Bail

preparing to leave for Coruscant.

Sc. 3 A meeting on Coruscant is called by President Valorum and Vice-President

Palpatine to discuss the latest developments in the new crisis, namely evidence that rogue

Jedi are somehow behind the space pirating and acts of galactic terrorism. This includes an

attack on the royal flagship of Naboo in which the Queen herself was either captured or

killed. The Jedi Order, represented by Mace Windu, and other Jedi are brought before

Valorums Head of Security for The Republic, Executive Chief Tarkin. Tarkin plays back

an audio recording of the most recent attack by the marauders, implicating the Jedi.Everyone is shocked. While the Jedi offer their continued assistance and cooperation, as

well as their own internal investigation, Tarkin convinces the President to temporarily

restrict Jedi movement until he and his Droid Security forces can bring the pirates - nowidentified by Tarkin as Jedi - to justice. Windu protests, offering the Sith as possible

instigators. To which, Tarkin scoffs, pointing out that the Sith have not existed for

generations. Tarkin then proposes that every Jedis whereabouts throughout the galaxy beaccounted for, including the elusive Jedi Master Yoda, whose location is a highly guarded

secret amongst the Jedi. Despite objections by the Jedi, Valorum regrettably feels forced to

support Tarkin, giving the Jedi twenty-four hours to compile the information on Jedi

locations and immediately banning Jedi movement. Afterward, an outraged Obi-Wanconfronts Bail who claims to have been unaware of the recording, the charges, or Tarkins

plans. Bail agrees that the Jedi have been wronged and offers to help in any way he can.

Sc. 4 Mace Windu confides to Obi-Wan that all Jedi have been accounted for, except fora small group stationed on Circarpous V, a dank jungle planet and home of the Kaiburr

crystal mines, an element used in the making of lightsabers and enhancing Forcesensitivity. Obi-Wans mentor Qui-Gon Jinn, the leader of the Circarpous band has not

checked in for some time. Several on the council fear he and his group may have gone

rogue. Obi-Wan objects to this assumption, arguing that Qui-Gon would never turn andpointing out that the atmosphere surrounding the planet makes common communication

nearly impossible. Obi-Wan senses a disturbance in the Force and fears that something

awful has befallen his former teacher. Obi-Wan asks Mace not to comply with the

Presidents demands, but Mace says they must do so as an act of faith. Following hisdisagreement with Mace, Obi-Wan visits Bail and tells him that he will be defying orders

and leaving for Circarpous V tonight. Bail warns against it, but wishes him luck if he

decides to go through with it.

Sc. 5 Meanwhile, on his battleship Darth Maul (surrounded by the cloaked figures)

receives an update of events from his apprentice, Darth Sidious. Sidious appears viahologram to inform Maul of the success their plan is having in implicating the Jedi. A

pleased Maul relays that he and his troops are returning to Circarpous V to finish the job

there. He tells Sidious to await further instructions.

Sc. 6 That night, Obi-Wan sneaks past several droid patrols guarding the shipyard to getto his ship, the Nova Hunter. Once onboard, his preps for take off are stopped by a blaster

toting droid named C-3SE, who instructs Obi-Wan to leave the ship at once. Bail Organa

arrives in time to prevent any altercation and orders C-3SE to accompany Obi-Wan on his

mission to provide clearance for him along the way. 3SE complies and Obi-Wan

reluctantly accepts. Bails wishes his friend good luck and tells him to hurry back. Almost

immediately leaving Coruscant, security ships order Obi-Wan to identify himself. 3SE

tells the security ships to stand down. They do. And in doing so, Obi-Wan heads out forCircarpous V without further incident.

Sc. 7 As they go to light speed, 3SE engages Obi-Wan in a conversion about the Jediways. He discusses their training, customs, and traditions. Obi-Wan how important a good

teacher is, and that he was lucky to have had Qui-Gon as his. He also tells 3SE about the

wise and mysterious Yoda, how only few Jedi Elders know his whereabouts and they willnever reveal it, as Tarkin demands. He fears the position the Jedi have been placed in. The

subject of the Sith comes up and Obi-Wan explains how the Jedi defeated them and

removed their evil from the galaxy, but not this new evil may prove just as great. Obi-Wan

asks C-3SE about himself. At first the droid doesnt know how to respond, but confideshed really prefer to be in battle, facing the marauders head on. Suddenly, Obi-Wan senses

a disturbance in the Force and tells 3SE he may get his wish.

Sc. 8 As they drop out of light speed near Circarpous V, Obi-Wan and C-3SE encounterwhat appears to be a disabled spice freighter. After all attempts to contact the ship fail, the

scenario begins to remind Obi-Wan of a marauder ambush. C-3SE is gung-ho about goingdown to the ship with a possibility of apprehending the villains. While Obi-Wan agrees to

board the ship, he advises caution. Together they board the ship. It appears deserted. Obi-

Wan moves around the corridors cautiously, while C-3SE marches out in the open with hisblaster ready. Obi-Wan has to pull the droid back, as they argue about taking a direct

approach. Theyre suddenly interrupted by a noise in the cargo hold. Suspecting an

attack, they slowly enter the dimly lit area. The hear something thrown next to them,

prompting 3SE to begin firing wildly in all directions. Obi-Wan calls for him to stop, assomeone rushes around them in the shadows. Obi-Wan leaps and tackles the figure. They

wrestle in darkness as 3SE takes shots at them, all the while Obi-Wan screaming for him to

stop! The two stand up and face each other. Obi-Wan cuts the darkness by activating hislight saber. Obi-Wan sees his opponent at last, a man in his 20s with dark hair. The man

pulls a large piece of metal crating to shield him from blaster-fire, and long metal rod he

swings instinctively at Obi-Wan. Obi-Wan easily slices the metal rod in half, and the fightbecomes verbal until both parties realize they are on the same side. The man, the navigator

on the vessel, describes how his ship stopped to help another ship and was ambushed by

cloaked figures he believed to be Jedi. He was able to escape and hide with the cargo. The

captain was taken prisoner and forced to help the marauders pilot ships through thedangerous atmosphere of Circarpous. Obi-Wan confides that the planet is exactly where

he and C-3SE are headed. The man asks to tag along, offering his piloting skills. Obi-Wan

asks if the man is a good pilot. He answers, best in the galaxy. The mans name isAnakin.

Sc. 9 Obi-Wans ship enters the upper atmosphere of Circarpous V and energy storms

begin striking the haul. As the storms threaten to tear the ship apart, Anakin takes thecontrols and through amazing skill and sure will power, he manages to pilot the ship safely

to the planets surface. Obi-Wan senses that the Force is strong in him. The jungle planet

is dim, murky, and misty. Obi-Wan cant imagine a Jedi being caught dead in a place

this.

Sc. 10 Meanwhile, aboard Darth Mauls battleship, a cloaked figure approaches to inform

him that an unknown starship has landed on the other side of the planet. This concernsMaul. He tells the figure to alert the surface.

Sc. 11 Anakin convinces Obi-Wan to let him join them on the search. They mark theirlocation and head out. Obi-Wan senses something ahead in the mist. They see a cloaked

figure in the distance. 3SE wants to fire a shot at him, but Obi-Wan instead calls out to

him. The figure stops and slowly turns. To Obi-Wans astonishment the face he seesunder the hood of the cloak is none other than is old mentor Qui-Gon Jinn, albeit a paler,

frailer looking one. Obi-Wan calls to him by name and he flees. The trio pursue him

through the mists and swamps of Circarpous V until they end up in a graveyard of ship

wreckage and debris. 3SE boldly begins searching wreckage, as Obi-Wan and Anakin doso a bit more cautiously, both now sensing a presence. In the wreckage, C-3SE discovers a

beaten up astro-droid, R2-D2. Obi-Wan wonders aloud who he belonged to, when

suddenly from above, perched on piece of broken haul, someone in dirty armor says he

belongs to them and warns them to back away. After a brief standoff, R2 is activated andthey all return to the castaways makeshift shelter. There the person in armor reveals

herself as Padme, a young woman. She explains that pirates attacked their ship, she and R2escaped in an escape pod, and have been marooned on the planet since. Anakin is instantly

smitten with her and asks about his captain and other crews. Padme is uninterested in

Anakin, but says she doesnt know. She tells Obi-Wan she saw Obi-Wans ship land andhoped to escape and inform the Republic of what is happening on the planet. She agrees to

take Obi-Wan to a secret camp she has discovered. With C-3SE and R2-D2 left behind,

Padme, Obi-Wan, and Anakin set out once more. As they do, a cloaked figure watches

them.

Sc. 12 Padme leads Obi-Wan and Anakin to a ridge overlooking a valley on the edge of a

forest. Below they see several cloaked figures holding energy staffs and corralling tallcreatures covered in short, green fur. They have been enslaved by the cloaked figures to

mine deep in the forests. Obi-Wan deduces they are being forced to dig for the Kaiburr

crystal. He wonders if it could be true that Qui-Gon Jinn and the Jedi stationed here toguard the Force enhancing element have turned to the dark side. The trio is discussing

possible plans to rescue enslaved natives, when they are struck in the backs by more of the

cloaked figures, also brandishing energy staffs. An unconscious Obi-Wan, Anakin, and

Padme are taken prisoner by the mysterious cloaked enslavers.

Sc. 13 Dawn on Coruscant. Mace Windu and Bail Organa are meeting again with the

President urging him to repeal Executive Chief Tarkins orders against the Jedi. Valorumis beginning to recognize the tyranny such an act suggests, that the Jedi deserve the

Republics trust and respect. He has decided to repeal the order when Vice-President

Palpatine enters with Chief Tarkin accusing Windu and Organa of collusion in helping

Obi-Wan Kenobi leave the planet in violation of the law. Tarkin had questioned Organas

trustworthiness given his friendship with Kenobi and Jedi, and as such, had secretly placed

tracking devices on all their ships without Organas knowledge. Theyve been tracking

Kenobi, hoping he would lead them to the Jedi marauders base. At Tarkins command,several armed security droids enter and arrest Mace and Bail. The President tries to

intervene, but Palpatine convinces him the culprits will be discovered soon and justice will

be done. It is evident that he has some sort of influence over the Presidents mind and will.

Sc. 14 When Anakin and Padme awaken they find themselves in a cave, shackled and

chained to a group of Mimban slaves. They befriend MBann, one of the native creatures,who explains that the cloaked figures arrived one night and ambushed their Jedi allies.

Since then theyve enslaved some of the natives and forced them to dig for the Kaiburr

crystal, just as Obi-Wan had surmised. Padme suddenly notices Obi-Wan is not with

them. MBann theorizes Obi-Wan was taken off planet to the waiting battleship, just as theother Jedi had been. What happens there no one knows. Jedi are kept clear of the mines for

a reason. Anakin sees some mining tools and struggles to reach them. Hearing the cloaked

slavers approaching makes Anakin try even harder until the tools begin to move on their

own, much to everyones surprise. Unfortunately, his efforts are interrupted by the slavers,who enter the cavern to put the slaves back to work mining. One of the slavers mocks

Padme and wonders if the Queen of Naboo had ever worked a day in her life. As the slavesare being dragged further into the cave to mine, Anakin is shocked to learn Padme is in fact

Queen Amidala of Naboo. Anakin vows to free them and rescue Obi-Wan.

Sc. 15 Meanwhile, Obi-Wan awakens in chains aboard a small transport shuttle. He

appears to be its only passenger, although there are a few cloaked figures guarding him and

a pale pilot at the controls. Obi-Wan tries to talk with them, but to no avail. They hit

another electrical storm as they reach Circarpous Vs upper atmosphere. The emotionless,ghostly pilot manages to maneuver successfully through the storm and into space. It isnt

long before Obi-Wan sees where they are headinga giant battleship!

Sc. 16 As Anakin and Padme are led deeper into the mines, they pass several cloaked

figures standing in special pockets of the Kaiburr minerals, appearing to sleeping and

absorbing the crystals energy. Anakin stops in defiance and immediately attacked by aslaver with an energy staff. Anakin grabs the staff and attacks the slaver. Several other

cloaked figures immediately rush to subdue Anakin. They force him to the cavern floor

and strike him repeatedly with their energy staffs. Padme screams for them to stop, but

Anakin is buried beneath the brutality.

Sc. 17 Obi-Wan is taken from the shuttle and onto the battleship itself, all the while

trying to communicate with the cloaked figures and sneak a peek at their faces. Finally, heis brought before Darth Maul, who is unsurprised by the appearance of another Jedi. Obi-

Wan recognizes Maul as a Sith. Maul explains how his plan to avenge the Sith upon the

Jedi is well under way. Obi-Wan realizes that Maul is behind the pirating, terrorism, andimplicating the Jedi. But he doesnt understand how. Maul explains that not long ago he

ambushed the Jedi guarding the Kaiburr crystal mines, killed most, but captured some to

use to create Jedi clones. Unfortunately, the cloning process left the clones frail, pail, and

weakened in the ways of the Force. Thats why Maul leaves clones in the mines, to soak

up as much of the Kaiburr crystal energy as possible to increase their Force powers. Maul

reveals that through his ambushes, hes also been able to use expert pilots and the like as

cloning subjects, to make navigating on and off Circarpous V easier. Obi-Wan asks whathappened to Qui-Gon Jinn. Maul coyly mentions the fate of all cloning subjectsdeath.

The cloning process kills the cloning subject, but as Darth Maul explains it, its worth it.

To that, several of the cloaked figures remove their hoods to reveal themselves as clones ofObi-Wans old friend and mentor, Qui-Gon Jinn. Obi-Wan is incensed. But Darth Maul

informs him he will soon join Qui-Gon, wherever he went, and describes his plan to

clone Obi-Wan and use his clones to help further tarnish the Jedi and topple the Republic.Obi-Wan struggles as he is led away for cloning.

Sc. 18 Back on Coruscant, President Valorum, flanked by Tarkin and Palpatine,

announces that the secret Jedi plot has been exposed. The outlaw Obi-Wan Kenobi hasrendezvoused with his former mentor and co-conspirator Qui-Gon Jinn. Other charges

have been brought against Mace Windu and Bail Organa for aiding and abetting Kenobi.

Kenobi has been tracked and will be taken dead or alive by special Droid Army security

forces. People around the Republic are shocked, including Obi-Wan and Bails friendOwen Lars, watching on Alderaan. Valorum promises that the old fear, that the peace

the Republic has enjoyed for generations will evaporate, will not return. The Republicunder the watchful eye of Executive Security Chief Tarkin has unraveled the marauders

plans and will soon restore peace throughout the galaxy. Justice and peace will be

preserved, Valorum concludes, ending his address to the citizens throughout the grandRepublic.

Sc. 19 In the mines of Circarpous V, Padme resists her captors in an effort to help

Anakin, but is struck by the slavers energy staffs and dragged away. Seeing this, Anakin

becomes enraged. The Force powers he has demonstrated are amplified by the Kaiburrcrystals, giving him immense power. With this new power he pushes the slavers off of him

and through the air. He begins using his Force powers to throw pieces of rock and mining

tools at his enemies. The cloaked clone slavers are no match for Anakins incrediblyaugmented powers. He easily Force chokes slavers, pushes them through the air, and out

of his path until he reaches Padme and frees her. Padme is shocked and somewhat

frightened by Anakins power. But she quickly composes herself, releases MBann and in

turn begins freeing all of the natives, inciting them to revolt against the slavers. They grab

rocks and mining tools, rush the cloaked figures, and fight their way out of the caverns.

The revolt quickly escalates. Suddenly air support is provided by the hovering Nova

Hunter (Obi-Wans ship) piloted by R2-D2. C-3SE leaps from the ship, guns a blazing, togather Anakin and Padme. 3SE informs them that R2 has discovered that Obi-Wan has

been taken off planet to a waiting battleship. As Anakin and Padme say their goodbyes and

board the Nova Hunter, MBann insists on accompanying them. Anakin takes the controlsand they blast off into space.

Sc. 20 Strapped to a table in a small room, Obi-Wan is soon introduced to three hoveringmedical spheres. Another, humanoid medical droid is preparing to oversee the first part of

the cloning process: the DNA extraction. From all the material extracted will be injected

into tissue incubators, used to grow new bodies with nearly identical genetic makeup. Obi-

Wan is in disbelief. Darth Maul relishes the moment and orders the procedure tocommence. Suddenly, the ship is rocked and an alarm is sounded. Someone is attacking

the ship! Maul orders the procedure to continue, as he storms out with several clone

minions to battle stations.

Sc. 21 Anakin pilots the Nova Hunter around Mauls battleship, attacking the haul at

will. Padme and Anakin discuss ways to get inside. Laser cannons begin firing at them.Through his incredible skill Anakin is able to avoid any direct hits, but narrowly. Padme

orders R2 to link into the battleships computers remotely and access docking information

and locate Obi-Wan. Just then, smaller fighters emerge from the battleship and attack.Anakin out maneuvers them, but soon notices that the pilots appear to be identical copies of

his captain from the spice freighter. Shaken, Padme manages to convince him that none of

them are his captain. R2 to confirms that they are clones and Obi-Wan is in a cloning

chamber now himself. Anakin blasts through and around the fighters. R2 continuesscanning the battleships computer banks for info. And announcement from a Republic

security droid suddenly appears, ordering the outlaw Obi-Wan Kenobi to surrender.

Anakin comments that they need to rescue him first.

Sc. 22 As Maul is updated on the fight outside, he is contacted by his apprentice DarthSidious. A holographic Sidious informs him of the Presidents address and asks if Kenobi

has been destroyed yet. Maul says his ship is under attack by someone strong with the

Force. Sidious says they have sent Droid Army forces to capture Kenobi and that thecloning process must be completed quickly, his lifeless body turned over to the Republic.

He tells Maul he must escape before the Droid Army arrives if their plans to frame the Jedi

and take over the Republic are to succeed. Maul angrily reminds Sidious he is aware of theplan and he is in charge. Sidious apologies as Maul ends communication and heads back to

the cloning chamber.

Sc. 23 R2-D2 completes tapping into Mauls computer banks and orders the battleships

defense fields down. He provides Anakin with the docking coordinates, as Anakin finishes

off the last of the dog fighters.

Sc. 24 In the cloning room, Anakins attack has allows Obi-Wan a moment to use the

Force and send the medical probes crashing into the panel, releasing him from his

restraints. Now free, the Jedi rushes into one of the ships passageways only to encounter agroup of Qui-Gons clones. They begin to taught him, but before they take out their their

light sabers to attack, Obi-Wan uses the Force to pull one of the clones weapons away and

into his hands. Now armed, he ignores the clones and sets out to find and capture DarthMaul.

Sc. 25 Anakin sets the Nova Hunter down in the battleships docking bay. Clones

immediately advance on them. The group disembarks to face the attackers and find Obi-Wan. C-3SE jumps into the fray, blasting everything in sight. MBann uses his brute

strength and throws energy staffs to fend off attackers. Padme uses a confiscated pistol.

Anakins newly enhanced powers are no match for the Force-weakened clones. He easily

Force pushes them out of the way, clearing a path for R2 to lead them to the Cloning Roomand Obi-Wan.

Sc. 26 Obi-Wan senses Darth Maul nearby and catches him at a control panel, feverishly

entering codes into a computer. Obi-Wan calls out to him. Maul informs the Jedi that hes

set the ship to self-destruct. Obi-Wan ignites his light saber, as does Maul. They battle,Maul using Sith lightning to get an early advantage. Maul swears the Sith will rise and

destroy the Republic forever! Maul reveals that by now hes a man hunted by his own

Republic and that the Jedi name is ruined forever. Obi-Wan says that the Jedi defeated the

Sith before and they will do it again, and gains the upper hand. With Maul moments awayfrom defeat, he tells Kenobi they can fight or he can spend their last remaining minutes

finding his imprisoned Jedi friends aboard the ship. The possibility of this being true

distracts Obi-Wan long enough for Darth Maul to slip away.

Sc. 27 Pursuing Maul, Obi-Wan runs into Anakin, Padme, and the rest. They quickly geteach up to speed, Anakin re-introducing Padme as Queen Amidala; Obi-Wan telling them

that the ship is about to blow up and that the cloning subject may be trapped onboard

somewhere. R2 taps into the control panel, but is unable to unlock the self-destructsequence. The droid does, however, locate several people being held in status hibernation

in the brig below. While Padme, 3SE, and R2 work their way back to the docking bay to

prepare the Nova Hunter for take off, Obi-Wan, Anakin, and MBann follows R2sdirections and rush to the brig to find the prisoners.

Sc. 28 Padme and the droids face little resistance returning to the Nova Hunter,

evacuation alerts causing confusion amongst the clones.

Sc. 29 Obi-Wan, Anakin, and MBann reach the brig and discover several cloning

subjects indeed held in status hibernation, including the captain of Anakins spicefreighter. Obi-Wan finds some of the Jedi stationed on Circarpous V, but cant locate Qui-

Gon. Anakin manages to turn off the status fields and the prisoners begin to awaken. As

MBann and Anakin help the disoriented prisoners out of the brig, Obi-Wan finally sees hisold mentor Qui-Gon and helps him out, as well.

Sc. 30 Several clones begin attacking the Nova Hunters haul with energy staffs in aneffort to get inside. Padme activates the ships force field while wrestling with the ethics of

leaving clones behind to perish.

Sc. 31 Obi-Wan and Anakin reach the docking bay along with MBann and the cloningsubjects. Seeing the subjects causes the clones to flee in terror, clearing the path for the

heroes to board the Nova Hunter. As Padme helps MBann settle the subjects in the cargo

hold of ship, Obi-Wan lets Anakin take the controls. And Anakin pilots them off the Sith

battleship. However, with the self-destruct clock still ticking on the battleship, the NovaHunters escape is blocked by three Republic Droid Army starships refusing to move until

Obi-Wan is turned to them. Anakin relays the urgency of their situation, but the DroidCommander refuses to negotiate. Obi-Wan says if they let them pass, he will surrender.

The Droid Commander demands Obi-Wan turn himself over immediately. R2 informs 3SE

that the battleship is about to explode and they will all be caught up in it. C-3SE says thatObi-Wan is in his custody and orders the droid ships to follow them. At this, they stand

aside, letting the Nova Hunter through, following them just as the battleship self-destructs

behind them all.

Sc. 32 Obi-Wan is checking on the Jedi and others that were victims of Darth Maul. He

talks briefly with Qui-Gonn and discusses the situation. Padme asks what he plans to do, towhich Obi-Wan responds turn himself in. They cant believe it. But Obi-Wan adds hell

also get them home, clear the Jedi, and find Mauland plans on doing one other thing.

With that, he excuses himself and heads towards the cockpit where Anakin is navigatingquietly, deep in thought. Obi-Wan sits down beside him. They discuss their adventure and

what the future holds. Anakin confesses that hes also had special abilities, but never

understood them or how to use them. Obi-Wan talks about the Force and how powerful itis, and offers to help him learn its ways. But Obi-Wan also worries about his own fate.

They are interrupted by C-3SE who says R2 might have something that can help.

Sc. 33 Several diplomats and droid security trooper have been gathered at the shipyards

on Coruscant by President Valorum. Tarkin and Palpatine cant believe Obi-Wan has been

captured alive and has surrendered. With this, they hope to further push the Jedi order into

chaos. The Nova Hunter finally arrives, escorted by the three Republic Droid Armystarships. They land and security droids begin marching Obi-Wan down the long row of

onlookers and diplomats to face the President and his Security Chief. Obi-Wan is

presented before them. He demands the release of Mace Windu and Bail Organa. Tarkinat first objects, but the President orders that they be present here, as well. Guards are sent

to get them. Obi-Wan and Palpatine have an awkward stare down, with Palpatine suddenly

feeling a bit uneasy. Valorum seems a less influenced as he once was. Windu and Organajoin the assembly, albeit still under arrest. Theyre seeing Obi-Wan again is bittersweet.

Obi-Wan is charged with terrorism and treason and asked if he worked alone or if there

was a conspiracy at hand. Obi-Wan confesses Windu and Organa did help himturn light

on the true conspiracy! But they did not work alone. Down the row, through the crowd,come Padme, Anakin, MBann, C-3SE, and R2-D2 leading the recovered cloning victims,

including Qui-Gonn. Tarkin and Palpatine are beside themselves. One by one, the

witnesses to this incredible adventure retell the tale. Queen Amidalas testimony, of how

not only is Obi-Wan not a criminal, but that he helped save the Republic, is mostimpressive. But Valorum and the gathered of Coruscant are completely speechless when

R2-D2 is brought forth to play the last holographic message Darth Maul received fromDarth Sidious, a message he recorded while tapping into the battleships computer banks.

The message is traced to Tarkins private quarters and Palpatine is revealed to be Darth

Sidious! President Valorum orders the two arrested immediately and the droid guards takethem away. With the Sith plot exposed and thwarted at last, Obi-Wan and the Jedi are

exonerated and the heroes, old friends and new, rejoice to the cheers of the crowd!
