INTRODUCTION

The Malaysian Biodiesel Association (MBA) will be organizing the 1st Palm Biodiesel Conference on August 7-8, 2017 at the Holiday Inn Glenmarie Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The 1.5 day conference will serve as a platform for palm biodiesel industry players in ASEAN, as well as other countries to share experiences, discuss challenges and explore common approaches to further strengthen and advance its national biodiesel implementation programmes. With the support of our ASEAN counterparts; the Asosiasi Produsen Biofuels Indonesia (APROBI) and also the Thailand Biodiesel Producer Association, the MBA hopes to garner a participation of approximately 100 delegates from the palm biodiesel industry, the Government and also interested parties in ASEAN countries and beyond. With the theme “Coming Together & Moving Forward”, the conference will feature a keynote address by YB Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong, Minister of Plantation Industries and Commodities, as well as sharing and discussions on the following key topics:

Market overview of the biodiesel industry

Partners in biodiesel production

Developments of external regulatory policies impacting the palm biodiesel industry

Case studies on palm biodiesel usage in the transport sector

The status and challenges of national biodiesel implementation programmes in various countries

The conference will conclude with a panel discussion on how the industry could advance its national biodiesel implementation programme. NETWORKING OPPORTUNITES
