Holding “BELAZ-HOLDING” was created for the purposes of optimization of management, price formation, productivity improvement and manufacturing efficiency on November 22, 2012. The Holding comprises 6 companies:

History

In 1948 the construction of a peat-machines plant started.

In May 1950 the first products of the plant were made: containers for the transportation of peat, agitators intended for its drying etc.

Since 1958 the company has been producing heavy mining dump trucks.

Since the 1990-s the company has been producing specialized transportation vehicles for metallurgical enterprises, road construction etc.

In 2011 the first BELAZ-75601 360-ton dump truck was produced.

In 2013 the first in the world 450-ton dump truck was produced.

Strategic areas of innovation activity

Upon development and commissioning of the series of dump trucks with the payload capacity of 170-160 tons, 260-290 tons and 420-450 tons by 2015-2020 OJSC “BELAZ” is going to have the widest size range of mining dump trucks, which will exceed the competitors’ size ranges, as well as a wider lineup of specialized technological vehicles and an extended range of goods produced by the companies within the Holding.
