OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY EXTENSION
Dear 4-H Family,
Can you believe it is already August? It has been a FANTASTIC summer! Many
of you are transitioning from summer vacation and to-do lists to back to
school lists! As this happens, we often begin to forget about 4-H. While it may
not be in “full throttle”, we still work hard every day to make our programs better and encourage more youth to join 4-H!
How can you keep the clover on your mind? Come in our office and check out the project books available (or even buy
one to get a head start!), apply for 4-H awards, or consider checking out some
of the county and state leadership opportunities! Have ideas for a
program? Call our office! We love to hear what our community wants. With
that, enjoy the final moments of summer and relax and have a great August!
Sincerely,
Frances Nicol4-H Educator

The Urban Immersion Project is a 4-H initiative that combines cross-cultural learning, teamwork and service learning in the urban environment of Washington, DC.
Teens ages 15-18 are eligible for this 4 day service-learning experience that will build skills and abilities to prepare youth for success in a diverse workplace as well as build cultural understanding of those who are different. This experience will not be about shopping or sightseeing, although we will visit some monuments and historic sites. The cost of the experience is $170.
