G reetings and welcome to Wind-sor and the 2012 OFSAA ‘A’
Boys Soccer Championships!! We, the tournament committee, are so proud to host this tournament, and are so happy to have you here. A wonderful committee of dedicated soccer devotees have worked dili-gently to make this a great experi-ence for you, and they deserve your thanks and praise. Feel free to acknowledge them during the tournament. They will be the ones with the white golf shirts on and the tournament logo on the chest. Their name can be found elsewhere in this program. Then there are students who will give their time to help out as host/hostesses and ball girls/boys. They will be wearing distinctive t-shirts. They, too, deserve your apprecia-tion. I must mention the outstanding assistance given by the Catholic
Central SS staff, particularly Mike McKittrick and Peter Cusmano. They have hosted many OFSAA events, and we have benefited tremendously from their experience and advice.
L astly, praise must go to Academie Ste. Cecile Interna-
tional School. Whoever would have thought that a relatively new school of about 120 students from various parts of the world could take on such an ambi-tious project of hosting this stellar event? It is a indication of the ‘daring nature’ of the school and its director, Mme. Gadoury. If you get the feeling the ASCIS is special, you are correct. Have a great time in Windsor – you’ll find it to be a wonderful city. Paul 'Doc' Thomas Tournament Committee Chairman.
FROM THE CHAIRMAN BY DR. PAUL THOMAS

T he tournament committee is very pleased and proud to name Mark
Wasyluk this year’s recipient of this prestigious award. There is a list of ten criteria used in con-sideration when selecting the award recipient; and they have to do with such things as - length of teaching/coaching career, role model, respect, expertise, commitment to all aspects of the school, leadership, etc. etc. Our honoree passes all of the listed criteria, and more. Mark Wasyluk’s teaching/coaching ca-reer has spanned 25 years at the sec-ondary level in Windsor. He has coached several sports including soc-cer, volleyball, rugby, and has helped wherever and whenever needed in any activity. His teams have won several championships at all levels including OFSAA; and in different sports.
C ertainly his coaching record is tre-mendous, but he takes pride in the
other aspects of teaching/coaching. He has always worked to develop his ath-letes beyond sports. He constantly challenges them to become better stu-dents, better people, and to strive to reach their various potentials. As a re-sult, there are countless outstanding citizens out there who owe their suc-cessful lives to the environment Mark
sets in his gym, his field, and his class-room. Mark’s reward then is seeing the posi-tive affect he has had on the lives of the countless students he has reached over his career.
